So. FUCK. I failed my TP. Apparently I drive too slow. And I didn't know the IN gate had two lanes. So DAMMIT. Probably need to wait like 4 months for another test, and spend a truckload of money AGAIN. The feeling of walking away from the test knowing you've failed and spent over a thousand dollars in the past 3 months and all your weekends to no avail. That feeling sucks big time. No offence, but girls have it easier in this respect. It's not exactly a big secret. But the world is unfair. Sigh. At the cost of my time and money of course.
My circuit was quite ok actually. Only when outside did he take away a shitload of points. The 2 lanes when coming in was the most infuriating of all, especially because I have never driven into that stretch before. Gave away 4 points like that. Fucking expensive way to learn. After all that shit I booked into camp again because I don't want to waste half day off on this. Came back for some professional development day. Talks and stuff. Had to attend. =.=
Dragged to close to 6, then the men were told to be ready for stand by area at 0615. CDO came down to inspect, saw that the place wasn't really clean and threw a hissy fit and stormed off, leaving them with a new timing of 1900. OH I forgot to mention, we didn't have dinner at all. I suppose they didn't have much time to clen but no one mentioned that. So off they went to clean again, then had a cursory inspection at 1900.
After RO, I left at 1917. =.= Hungry by then already. Luckily JR was kind enough to give me a ride to Kallang where I took train to Raffles Place. Went to UOB Tower 1 and took the lifts to the 60th floor to meet Shawn, Suyi, and the twins. Chinese Restaurant Buffet. Not bad. Stuffed myself cos I was pretty hungry by then (about 8 plus) Then went to Sy's house to play Wii. Played a bit only. YM came to join us for a while and we left at close to 3. Reached home at 3, went online till 4 then slept. Pretty tired.
Morning, woke up at 9plus to go down to Ben's place. Val's dad brought us over for tuition. XW orginially said wanted to meet up but then canceled. Hais. =( Ber has a test coming up in two weeks. =\ I hope she can pass. I try to help but, basket, she didn't do the homework I set the last lesson. And sometimes when I come over she's not around. How to teach English like that? (Seriously I think it's the only thing I'm confident of helping out. And maybe Bio. But they don't take Bio.)
Came home, trying to apply a closer test date but it's very hard. Cos you need to be freakin' lucky and freakin' free. Sigh. I look at the page I sian already. Might just give up and choose 11 Feb.
I know I always complain I'm bored. But I'm damn sian now. Here's why:
1) I failed my TP (with all the ensuing aforementioned consequences)
2) RAWR.
3) Nothing to do on a Sat.
4) Watching Coraline tomorrow morning. MORNING MOVIE?! Sigh. No choice.
5) IMT and Combat Shoot next week. Kinda sian but that's my last debt to the SAF
6) Weekend disappearing and it's not been fantastic.
7) I failed my TP. Sigh.
9) I'm still in the Army. (3 months 10 days!)
Musing, rants and observations from life around me. May contain a lack of verisimilitude.

Haven't done much there few days. So forgot to blog. Got a little secret. Maybe i'll tell it after i ord. Make note, after i ord ar. =) Haha. Sunday i went driving. Did alright i guess. Win7 is still ok too, looks nice. After that...i can't remember. Seems like nothing. Monday nothing much too. Went Illuma on Tuesday nights out. Looks cool. Finally got my chance to go there. Don't mind walking around a bit more.
We had Marble Slab Creamery ice cream which was pretty good. Kinda high price range but at least it's good. Today nothing much either. With our ban on MP3 and PSP extended to next year we haven't had much to entertain ourselves. Sigh. Pretty much no entertainment at all. I find myself going to the mess every break to play Facebook. At least we have the mess. Can't believe what it's like for the men.
I've brought in Time magazine, but there's only so much only it can do. So we turn to talk. We spend increasing amounts of time simply gathered together to pass the time and for something to fill the moment. Board games are a momentary distraction. The rest of the day is just drudgery. Well i've got combat shoot next week so i can finally settle the last thing. TP this Friday. So, wish me all the best. =) Haha.

Guess what I did today??? No, I didn't watch HIMYM. Yet. Go on, another guess. No, I didn't go out either! Well, ok, I did in the literal sense. But not in the dinner, walk, chill out, movie/supper sense. I went driving again. Today was alright I guess. Then I went home. -Gasp- Big surprise. Haha. Then I stayed on FB for a while till Ben came over.
Yup, he came to fix my virus-hit, then half-reformatted computer. (The program icons stayed while the programs themselves did not. Funny huh?) The end result was total cluttered empty nonsense. AND the video driver was halfway back home to silicon valley, i.e. gone. Couldn't find any good replacements and nothing worked. So Ben installed windows 7 for me. TADA.
This is one time when the phrase as good as new doesn't apply. It was better than new. Then the amazing software ACTUALLY managed to do what we humans could not. Download and install a proper video driver that worked. I dunno why we couldn't find one despite our efforts, but maybe it speaks their language. I feel compelled to say this is the first time I am impressed, pleased and very satisfied with Microsoft technology. Now don't let that go to your head now, computer.

So what did you do today?
Dear diary,
Today I watched 13 episodes of How I met Your Mother. Non-stop.
---
Yup. That was how I spent my day. Cool huh. Of course there were the requisite toilet breaks and food breaks. Which makes it...less cool. I guess I'm just not fated to go out today. First canceled dinner so I'm sharing food with my sister and sitting in from of the computer with 3 nuked frozen beef patties. There's this oozy brown stuff coming out of the patty. I don't know if it's fat or meat or whatever, but it's edible. Yum. I think. Tried to call YM, see if he's free but his phone's off. Called Shawn, but he's on duty. Ohh...bummer. In the middle of our call, someone called his office, so time for him to scoot back to work. Me? Episode 15.
GAWD is it so hard to find a another FELLOW HUMAN BEING to go out with?
For the past 5 days that I have been on leave (including this one) all I've done is stay cooped up at home from day to night watching TV shows. If think if I keep doing this till Sunday I can probably gain an accent already.

[UPDATE] Looks like dinner has been canceled. Oh-kay. Who's up for Episodes 2 through 22 of How I Met Your Mother Season 2? =([/UPDATE]
Spending like 20hours in camp this week. When I got back, I had a...surprise. Turns out that we are going to clear off (again) this Friday. So I booked out at 6 today. And I now have 3 day off left. I suppose from a certain point of view it's better to use our off now and escape stuff like parades than in Jan when we most likely won't be touched. Woken up at 830 by a call from the office. Typical. =.= That ringtone was well given. Couldn't get back to sleep after. Lay in bed till 12.
Lying in bed is not as easy as it seems you know. You have to work at it. Lie there, roll around a bit, feel thirsty, take a sip from the conveniently hung water bag next to my bed, roll some more, pee, repeat. After lunch went mess, went back, rolled some more, lay down and talked to pass the time till book out. TP in one week. So scary. =X Got 2 lessons this weekend. Going to continue watching my videos. Again. Prolly meeting XW for dinner tomorrow.

Kids, when you're single, all you're looking for is happily ever after. But only one of your stories can end that way. The rest all end with someone getting hurt.
-How I Met Your Mother S1
Spent the whole of today, you guessed it, watching videos at home again. (gotta leave in 10 mins.) Finished Band of Brothers and got through half of Season 1 of How I Met Your Mother. It was hilarious. A pretty darn good show. Haha. No wonder so many people recommend it. I've only just got to it cos I was finishing Chuck Season 2.
Also spent the day planting my crops in Country Story. What a way to spend my leave and a 6 day break. Cooped up at home, watching TV and videos for the whole day and late into the night, playing Facebook games. Gosh it sounds so sucky. =\ Well at least I'm not inside. Sigh. And with the PSP+MP3 ban, (thanks to some jokers) 80% of our entertainment is gone. I can't watch HIMYM, or play Call of Duty.
I've always defeated the system with technology, (Hello 3G SAF, meet 3G technology and the mobile internet) but now I can't do much. THere is a plan that can work. But I've dropped my phone too much to mske use of it. It's a little busted. Going off now.

I turn the bass up so loud that when tanks rumble by, my chair vibrates.
Spent today watching all my recorded shows on cable. Time flies. It seemed to hit evening really soon. If Einstein says speed slows down time, then digital cable must speed it up. Haha. Regularly harvesting my crop(loss making venture, white radishes are) on Country Story. Continued watching Band of Brothers (Ep8). Wish I coulda done something more fun or productive, but beggars can't be choosers.
Social beggars, that is. Pah. Not like I, or we have a choice. Sigh. I know, it's something I keep talking about, but it's also one of the main causes of...I dunno, what do you call it? Emoness, too exaggerated(hair ain't half as long as I need it to be anyway), depression, too serious(don't need help, just a good dose of fun), boredom, doesn't quite capture it(I got movies and videos to last months.) Friggin' sian.
But who do I have to blame but the gahmen for ruining 2 years, or at least fucking up everyone's schedule. I know it's a necessary evil, blah blah, and I acknowledge that, but it's still messed up. Change is coming and but it better be hauling it and it better be good. Looking forward I guess. Well as much forward as I can look when I gotta leave my house at 9pm tomorrow to make a 1 hour journey to a small room with 16 guys, 8 double deckers, no PSP, no MP3, and no privacy.
And let's not forget toilets with no doors and no hot water. On the bright side, uh...well I'm not hiding from German artillery shelling while shivering in the forest, trying to take a town which name is spelt weith 3 letters and I can't remember how to pronounce. Back to Band of Brothers. BOOM. (No 'z' there.)

Watched videos all day. Finished Chuck S2. Can't wait for S3. The finale was pretty cool. Watching Band of Brothers now. Growing White Radishes in Country Story. However I don't have enough stamina to finish planting a new crop. =( I can buy food but I'll then be making a loss. How can anyone surive planting radishes like that? It's a loss making venture. Probably need to alternate with growing some green peppers to cover my losses. Green peppers are really profitable for me now. =) Need to harvest my crop soon. Probably grow them peppers while I sleep tonight. Have them ready the next day.
Tomorrow, maybe try to finish band of brothers, then I can star on How I Met Your Mother. Such a shame to spend my leave this way. Sigh. Been thinking about dabbling in stocks. Make a little extra cash. And by little, I mean little. I don't have any illusions here. Went to look at car prices for fun though. A 2009 Honda Civic Type R goes for about 99k+. Wish my dad'll get really lucky in 4D. Then again, I can afford a 2nd hand Chery QQ though. LOL.

Woke up, wnet for driving. Quite bad. I think maybe cos I didn't adjust the seat properly. Been a while since I did something like that. Maybe that's why I did badly again. Sigh. It correlates with one other time I did badly, cos I didn't adjust my seat properly. I stalled a helluva lot of times, which is really unusual. Frick. And maybe it's true that you make more mistakes when your TP is coming. And no matter how much I sleep, I still feel a little tired. Maybe I'm waking up automatically but too early. (10AM plus) I still force myself to sleep earlier now. =(
After that came back and watched Chuck and Fbed for a while before going to a family dinner. Back already. Dunno what to do tomorrow. Sigh. Finally a long break and I got nothing to do. What a waste. Sigh.

Morning, left for City Hall to meet XW. I figured Ben was coming but had no idea what we were doing. I was first to reach. Later found we and 1 of XW's friends(Johan) were going together to queue for tix to some arts event. We reached at 12. Giveaway started at 3. So we waited. And queued.
And thought of funny stuff to say. (Is this the queue? Yup, the one for wolverine hello kittys! Is this the front or back of the queue? Front. We're all queueing to get into the back of that lorry.) And played with riddles and puzzles. (Got stumped.) And then finally got our tickets. ("Hey when we get the tickets let's go YES! and tear them up in front of the people behind!")
Then I feel guilty. Cos I saw my cousin behind me. Though at first I wasn't sure. Just a few people behind me only, and she didn't managed to get the tickets. =S So I'm passing her one of ours. =)We went to Funan and met Manel, who everyone but me seems to know (I oughta expand my social circle, ha-ha) and she joined us for lunch(?) at like almost 4. Went to Raffles City, Shokudo. =)
After that, Ben, XW, and I went to the flyer cos he needed to collect his Nike race pack and I needed to meet my folks. Val would be picking them up to go to the council BBQ. After my Flyer trip, they were still at the Flyer, so I joined them. Actually they said they would probably go for a while and then leave which was why I joined them so we could do something later. But they stayed quite a bit. So I, kinda, like crashed their party. =X
ANDDD...I think/hope XW and Val don't read this. Cos XW was a little scared of the way Val rocketed across the island's highways at 120kmph. And the main roads at 96kmph. And threw her huge 8-seater MPV (Multi-purpose vehicle) around curves and hard rights like a tuned, modded, and reinforced Subaru rally car around the track.
That girl has got nerves of steel. I wouldn't mind doing so with a modified car that's low to the ground but this is an MPV with a relatively high centre of gravity. It's like a hippo. She must have rally driver blood in her somewhere. Lol!
She still had a teeny bit of a problem parking. =X We stopped the car less than a foot before her rear bumper would have touched the tree. I think it was like 20cm away from kissing palm (tree). Well at least we arrived in one piece. Arriving at the (not really BBQ but catered buffet) was a lee-tle awkward. But no one asked any funny questions. After a while, XW had to leave so I went with her (Needed to unlock and lock the car and return the keys.)
There were baby roaches. With an S. Roachesss. She reached for her stuff EEK! There's a bug in the car. It just went into the aircon. There's more! I picked up her laptop pouch and spotted a baby roach taking it's first steps (Well, not really) on the dashboard for all to see, one scurrying below the aircon vent, and one which disappeared it.
Probably a nest inside there somewhere. There's just something about val and bugs. I just hope they don't try anything funny when she's driving. Especially from the aircon vents. I wonder what they eat inside. Maybe it's like cockroach Survivor: Valerie's Family Car! Outeat ,outbreed, outlive.
.
.
.
Then again on a more serious note, I do worry for her. The way she drives, it is a little...high-risk. I suppose she is confident in the capabilities of her car but an MPV is not meant to be slung about our roads like a Bugatti on the curves of Nurburgring (Google it.) She passed her TP, but at times it gets...thrilling, to say the least.

Spent my morning watching TV. Baked cornflake snacks in the afternoon. Watched some Chuck then went out to meet Rainnie for dinner. I had to meet some friends after so it was a bit rushed. =X The bus took quite a while too. At least it was a direct trip. Met with SX and YM(who just enlisted) and then we went to have supper at the prata shop. Actually I just had iced tea. Came back, and watched (500) Days of Summer. The reviews have been not bad. (500) days was...interesting. Quite liked it I guess.

They made us take off again today. Well, Friday actually. So I'm back home again. My off reserve has been whittled away to what it once was. Sigh. =( So much for saving it till next year. =S Slept late today. Yesterday was the end of the most eventful range ever. Day 1 advance party nearly got involved in a horrific chain collision. (For more details...let's face it,you all wanna know right?)
Ok, here it is. Trailer w/ container ahead loses its WHEEL. Jams brakes. Bike slams into trailer, cyclist flies. Car brakes, RUNS OVER bike, bike storage box flies into the cargo hold. Tonner behind car jams brakes. Safe. Trailer behind tonner jams brake. Untouched. Cars behind trailer #2, not untouched. BANG BANG BANG. In the middle of it all, our poor SAF tonner quivering and wetting its tyres. If hit, the driver will probably get it, even though it's not his fault.
At the range, some poor joker bangs his head on a rifle rack, requiring stitches. On day #2, it rained really heavily, delaying our shoot. On the way back, our bus went BOOMZ. It was engulfed in smoke as it was barreling down the highway at 90km/h and there was a burnt smell coming from the engine. We stopped and had to wait for another bus to pick us up. Slept late, woke up late. Had some commander's breakfast in the mess. Not sure what's the reason but we got there late.
Grabbed the all free paus I could take and headed for a survey. After that, went mess and back to bunk. Booked out in the evening. (S'), S's girlfriend wanted to borrow my Bio O level text for tuition purposes, and they persuaded me to go over and play wii too. So I went over, and we played House of the Dead which was pretty fun. =) (S')'s mum wanted to watch a 9pm show so we went into her room.
A few mins later somehow, S's mother came. Probably because she doesn't want S spending so much time around (S'). Now this is where it gets awkward. So after some to and fro between the mothers, S decides to leave, and I take my leave too. The atmosphere is high tension. Imagine juggling 3 bowling balls while balancing a unicycle on an ice-coated high tension electrical cable. Yup.
S tells his mom it's time to go, but she wants to continue discussing the matter. I'm trying to be the world's first maybe-if-I-think-really-hard-I-can-make-myself-disappear guy. S still trying to persuade his mother to leave and asking her how she found (S') house. (She's not supposed to know the address) Standing behind S and next to the door, I find the door grille interesting and move onto a studied appreciation of the intricate metal latticework. (S') mother is not really helping and the awkwardness is increasing exponentially. I feel like someone has stuck me in the Large Hadron Collider while it is being started up.
After thoroughly appreciating the door grille of their unit, I proceed to calculate how long it would take fingernails and teeth to get through the lock on that grille. I stand behind S all this while, my neck seems locked to a position that keeps my face staring out beyond the door. Just as I figure the answer to my earlier question is: never, (S') mother suddenly notices the invible guy with the bright red Adidas bag staring woefully at the door, and moves to unlock it.
That breaks the stalemate, sort of, as I slip outside with nary a sound. With the gates breached,S steps outside too and tries to ask his mother to leave. I flee the parental conflict quietly. Throughout that exchange, I was effectively invisible and intensely uncomfortable. =S

RAWR. Gotta go ATP (range) tomorrow. We shall see. Apparently there ought to be enough people. There's over 100 people shooting. =.= But they have to drag 14 of us all the way from camp to play the role of safety. Zzz. Oh well. Not much we can do. Maybe i'll spend the whole day on MSN and FB. I defeat the army with my OWN 3G. Lol! I cannot play Country Story! :(
Didn't do much today. Took over stores. Found out the singlet i accidentally bought from emart cannot be changed for a tshirt. Damn. KNS. Waste my credit. Probably just throw it somewhere. So irritating. Went nights out at AMK. Spent more money. :( On birthday and stuff. And i didn't get anything on my own birthday. And here they go buying a $70 cheesecake from the Hilton. =X Well i guess it was still worth having my birthday week off.
Looking forward to my long weekend next week. Might bake more stuff. :)

It's a nice cool day, with great weather for relaxing and generally doing nothing in particular. The kind with rain in the morning and the expectation of rain later. You open the door and all you see are the slate-grey skies and a steady cool breeze and the chill in your face. You could be in a small town on the coast of England. The best thing is, you can do nothing all day and feel fine about it. :)
Yesterday, just spent my morning on Fb and watched tv. At 330, i went down to parkway to meet up with xw and ben to pass her more of my cakes. Ben was trying to repair her laptop. Her cousin joined us and they went to buy a cake for their grandma's birthday. I found a small domokun going for 3.90 at the stalls opposite parkway! Finally! All the places i found had them going for exorbitant prices like 7.90. =/ I was out of cash so xw paid for most of it. =X
So great. Finally completed one of my "quests". Haha. My only complaint is that one of it's legs is shorter than the other. :( Hope this week passes fast. I can bake on the weekends. I find it a much better outlet than some. At least my efforts here are visibly reproduced and appreciated. I can put my time and effort and dedication here and also indulge the precision freak in me. (Speaking of which, i need to get an electronic scale.) At least i can make other people happy. If not myself.

Went driving. Dunno is it cos of nerve or me being overly-careful and hence staring at the mirror too much. 3 immediate failures and a lot of other mistakes. I need to drill them into my head so I can prevent them. They can be easily prevented. =( It's not about my skillz (haha) but about my sdafety. =X
Went home, baked more choco-hazyelnut cheesecakes. Yum. Probably baking again tomorrow.

Back home. Been at Murai for the past few days. It's a pretty cool place. Small town with all sorts of buildings and facilities. Damn interesting. We conducted our training there. Actually quite tiring to be running around taking pictures the whole day. At least when we come back, we don't have to do the labour.
Our imminent departure is recognised and accepted, which I greatly appreciate. Because they don't really have to do it. And yet they do. Which is really nice of them. I see one of my BMT mates having to apparently carry a sandbag and walk 10KM tomorrow, a Saturday. Good job on getting that lovely brown headdress, but frankly I'd rather be here. Times are changing. =)
Anyway, the past days have been pretty long and I'm glad we're done. I'll miss driving the PET. we had our turn ops parade today. We were SPECtators. Specs, and spectators. Haha. Amazingly, but it really has been ONE YEAR since I watched from the window of my bunk as operations were handed over in a parade. Now, it has come full circle and the mantle has been passed to us.
One year on, we assume new responsibilities as a fresh batch and also I'll be leaving in 4 months. Almost there. One year of my life has disappeared like that, and I'm standing at the edge of my freedom. Life beckons. 365 days in the blink of an eye. Month by month falls away from my calendar. I can hardly wait. Because time and time again I get so fed up.
Parade started at 5. We were supposed to be ready to leave by 6. However, out of nowhere came a stand by bed. It was not conducted in the most efficient way possible, resulting in it ending at 7. I was supposed to meet ben, raye, and mel. But all that time wasted ended up in my going straight home instead. When I first started standing outside my bunk, their movie had ended. All I can say is: FUCK. The great SAF screws up my life again. And my hopes were raised by having something to do on my Friday evening.
I'll be glad when all this is over. It's so irritating and so restrictive. When I go out on the weekends(Sunday) I can't stay out late. I have never had a curfew before. Even from my parents. As a 19-20 year old, I had the first curfew in my life. I can't make full use of my time and freedom. And this ruining of my plans, not the first time this has happended. I can't do anywhere I want, I can't do anything I want, when I want. EVERYTHING revolves around those SICKENING 5 days. I don't have to cut short my activities because of some stupid timing.
I know I have a pretty good life in there, and I should complain. Indeed, I'm grateful to have been given such an opportunity and such conditions. But the invisible laws governing when you MUST be in, and from when to when are strangling. The curtailed freedom, even on the weekends are a reminder of how this is still not a normal life.

Went driving today. Much better. Hoping to actually do okay on next week's mock test. 30 Oct is coming. Then went down to YM's place to collect the cheesecake. Yum. It was looked nice and tasted nice. Was surprised by how low it was, but then not as if I haven't seen such cakes before. But we made it! That's the best part. And it tasted great. I think I really ought to invest in maybe a few cake boxes and stuff. Would be easier to store the finished product.
Planning on baking cornflake balls and the choco-hazelnut cheesecake next week. My parents never got a chance to taste the latter when I did it. Prolly calculate what I need and make a list on Fri. Restock on my supplies after my driving and spend my Sat baking. Need to book in early today. Bleah. =\ Next week fighting exercise le. Good luck to all. I'm interested to see how it turns out.
[UPDATE]
Just did my calculations for this month. Spent over 700. :( Out of which almost 400 on driving. :( Of the remainder, almost 100 was on transport. RAR. So expensive nowadays. :( 43 on medicine. :( 25 on a new PSP charger. On the bright side, all these were pretty much unavoidable. All the same, it never rains but it pours. :( My "frivolous" expenditure comes up to about 140. Which would be great for my pay if only i didn't incur 400 for driving and 200 on unavoidable expenses. :(

Went for drivin this morning. I think what they said about you screwing up more closer to the test is true. =( Didn't do great. Can see I got the grasp of everything but I keep making stupid mistakes. But I did a good parallel park earlier. =P But then again, most vehicles tend not to have tall black and white poles mounted to the corners of their bumpers. You have to agar the distance between bumpers you can't see. =X
After that went home awhile to FB and then went to YM's place to make Three Cities of Spain Cheesecake. It's supposed to be freakin' nice. We'll see tomorrow then. Haha. Shawn came down too and we put together everything. I handmade the base by crushing biscuits. Use hand one okay. Haha.My hands sitll smell of biscuits of butter. At least you smell nice and foody after baking. Haha.
Then went to a kopitiam at Kovan for dinner before going home. Wsiting for my Country Story crops to ripen. Darn I'm hungry. =X Been downloading lots of mambo songs for fun. Heheh. =P So fun. I got 24 now.

Went to Hg Mall today to buy stuff for cheesecake today. Went down to YM's place to make Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake tartlets. Baked them at his place. Think we shoulda used a bigger muffin tray. I left at 2 plus to meet up with the mugalos so I brought 4 tartlets along. Went to Buona Vista where XW picked me up. Went to NUS to meet tak and Kenneth. The tartlets received positive comments but I think they were kinda cake-ish to me.
Went with XW and ben to loll around next to tak and distract her a little by watching Interesting Facebook Videos, the latest FB trend. Then we went to the bazaar where I was sorely tempted by all the humorous t-shirts but I'm really redlining my accounts this month. =( Went to Kovan Heartland Mall where XW and ben had dinner b4 she went for her tkd. After XW left, me and ben went off. I headed back to YM's place. Played FB over there, and clicked too quickly. Wasted a roast chicken in Country Story! =( Then tried to help fix BOTH his computers. One starts up with a mechanical clicking noise, the other doesn't even start up at all.
Well, the former has a fan that is probably too dirty and still whirrs even after cleaning it twice, and the latter probably has a busted graphics card. Oh then we tried the cheesecake we left in the fridge. OMGGGG. It tastes VERY different after cooling! And VERY NICE. It became more cheesecake-ish, so it lost its cake texture but became more clumped up and "liquid" when it grew cold and the flavour of the cheesecake was really brought out. I wish you all had been able to try it. The really FULLY done Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake tartlet.
Later went to pick up Siping and the twins and we went for a late night supper at Changi, based on a recommendation from YM's cousin's boyfriend or something. It was ok I guess. Chatted for a while and then went home.
