[UPDATE]
Rar. Spent the whole day rotting at home. Dunno what to do. Didn't go for an intended haircut. Played of all things, Rollercoaster Tycoon. (Yes, I was that bored.) Now I'm going to book in soon. At the most I'll go cut my hair this weekend I guess. Rar. Didnt see Carbon so far this week. I brought a can of tuna for it. Hahaha. Making friends with a kitten isn't so easy as it seems. Maybe this can occupy me for the next few weeks.
[/UPDATE]

Hooray For Public Holidays. Sounds like a song title. Lol! This week so far has been alright. Managed to live through another 4k march and this time I didn't feel so tired at the end. I failed the 2k run after at 15:50, but I hope I can push myself to pass next week. I have faith that I can do it. I know I can if I push myself hard enough. Beyond all limits. My body can take what I throw at it. I just have to keep pushing. Pain is just something to overcome.

But the thing about such unique strenous exercise is that I basically blow my body's thermostat to pieces and my temperature control goes to hell. Just take me out of an air-conditioned room into the sun and I begin sweating profusely, disproportionally to the heat I'm feeling. Its like my body is anticipating a total heat surge again and is pumping out water as fast as it can. I'll begin to feel warm easily.

Today was uber fun. I practiced driving this souped-up golf cart around. It's awesome. There's a S-bend course, reverse parking, and a 3 point turn, like any vehicle course. I was quite sucky at the S bend but after a few tries I got the hang of it. SO FUN! ^^ I also got quite sunburnt. =[ And am kind of tan now. Lol.

I realise I can draw several parallels between different events at different times in my life. That vehicle I learnt today? I just found out my dad knows what it is and has been driving it as part of his job for years. So him in the outside world and me in NS, by some strange quirk of fate, we both know how to drive an uncommon vehicle that is pat of his work and my NS. =\

Today went out with Shawn and Siwei but didn't know what to do. =.= Supposed to meet at 830, but a bit of lateness made it around 9. Reached City Hall at 930. All the shops were closing. =.= Wandered around a bit to esplanade, and back again. This was our most boring night in town. Lol. On the way home I saw a guy walking a girl home. The girl stopped to play with one of the stray cats. Another uncanny parallel/similarity. The only difference now is that the cat ran away. Haha!

Reminded me of my past life though. All the many things. Do you remember the 4 hour bicycle ride from east coast to pasir ris and back? That was indeed memorable. Every time I passed by SAF Ferry Terminal, I would be reminded of it. You said that soon I would be going to that place. And what a difference it would make to my life. With a twinge of guilt, I remember being a smartass and cutting in front of you, and causing you to crash. You were mad at me for quite a while.

I remember when you guys tricked me into believing that everyone was unavailable for some reason or another, and that no one would be there to welcome me back on one book-out. Imagine my surprise when the chartered bus pulled into the bus stop and I saw the 4 of you happily waiting under the shelter, trying to see if this was my bus. That was a pleasant surprise. Some times I lie in bed and think of these things. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, you know.

Remember the times we spent mugging at Ikea? I remember watching the sunset there, and going for meals there after school. We left only when they closed shop. I remember we even went there after getting our 'A' levels. I was so devastated after realising I scored the lowest among us all. But well, someone's always gonna be last, so why not let it be me?

Remember mugging in school? The guard has to chase us out before he had to lock the gate. We stayed back till 9 or 10. Remember going to Wild Wild Wet? We rode the slides and the wave pools until we were totally tired out. What about Sentosa? Where I got food poisoning, and progressively, one after another we got food poisoning. We did have fun for a few hours at least. Lol. I remember spending literally, days, of my life at MacDonalds mugging, SMSing the LCD TV, and eating Big Breakfast at 4AM. I could go on forever.

I remember so many things.

What was I doing one year ago today? I didn't blog but I did so one year ago yesterday. Here are a few excerpts.

Woke up a couple of times in the morning. Was raining heavily. I heard a loud blast of thunder and thought terrorist had struck some random part of Singapore or something. I saw a solid wall of grey outside my window, figured the world was probably coming to an end or something and went back to sleep.

Reminds me of the other day when I was doing my tuition homework. I got one question wrong and I kept cursing under my breath. Galvyn looked at me and asked:

"Are you ok?"
"I'm in this school. Do you think I'm ok?"
"Good point."

Speaking of funny exchanges, there's a funny story BenQ told me about how he failed home economics, and I found it ridiculously funny. Apparently, his partner was an ass and didn't want to do anything, much less clean up the area, so he was the one who did the cooking. After each lesson they'd argue over who was to clean up. So during the exam, the teacher said: "I'm going to fail both of you if you don't clean up your bench in 5 minutes."

They spent the next 5 minutes arguing

But now for more humor.

Scene: Shawn and I enter a coffee house to sit and waste time and we decide to get drinks. Both of us leave our table and 2 chairs, and go to the counter which is 2 steps away. When I return, I realise 3 girls that have just come in have koped one of ours chairs to their table. I quietly sit down with a grin, wondering what will ensue.

Shawn returns to the table and stands there with an incredulous, annoyed expression on his face.

S: "What the f--k? Where's my chair?"
K: (Burst out laughing) "Uh...I think they took it." (Gestures to the next table)
S: "What? So they think I'm supposed to stand ar?"
The girls hear his outburst and turn around with slightly mollified expressions.
K: (Still laughing, trying to get words out) "No, no, it's not their fault-"
S: "Then my fault?"
K: (Laughing some more) "No, no, not your fault too...it's no one's fault! We left the table there like that..."
S: "Zzz...let's go sit at the computers." [free internet terminals]
K: "Yeah, ok at the computers."
S: "Look like nerds." (=.=)
