Some pics I forgot to upload. From yesterday and today, during the making of the Phobos placards. They took so long to make but they look damn cool. Up there's Wei Jia, me and (I forgot her name, SORRY!)

Anyway today I guessed correctly we'd start at past 10 and possibly end around 2. Hence I could directly go for training. Oh and while they were about to buy another white corrugated sheet, I realised we had 9 phoenixes. Hehs. That was close! Each sheet costs $3.09 =X

So...I asked if I can kope the extra phoenix home. They let me. ;) Hehs. Feel kind of bad taking but it looks so cool. Training was a lotta fun today. MUCH better with Jack Wong and the new steps. Totally effortless and performed better. The ball looks weak but it has hidden powers! Once it touches pocket, BANG CRASH STRYYYYYKE! So I can't wait for training this Fri.

Yay no school or placard tomorrow...can sleep in again. w00ts. Also can't wait to borrow Odd Thomas from Danson. He's trading it for The Oracle. I'm reading The Shining by Stephen King now. It's slightly disturbing but I hope it gets better soon. By better I mean more freaky and gaining the power to actually affect me psychologially. Would be a damn good read. Like From a Buick 8 on my second read. Lol. Don't know why, but it actually had the force to poke my psyche and give it a jerk, which is interesting. Anyway, pics.

Love the shadow of the phoenix.

A flyu kamikazed into Terence's Hor Fun carrier.

Phoenix siting pretty on my door.

Went to school today to help out with the Phobos stuff. Was sleepy work. Cutting out phoenixes, and outlining them. did this till about 2+pm before heading home. My sister was madly mapling as usual. I laugh at the sheer irony and her blissful naivete. =\

On her blog are posts like "as usual I wake up to see my bro playing MU." What SHE does not know is that even before the holidays officially started, phrases like "as usual I wake up to see my sister madly mapling" were commonplace in my blog. Ironic, no? Only the truly fanatical do not know their extent of devotion.

Yes she complains about my playing MU, but I do let her have her turn in the evening. Does she? NOOOOOO~ After her PSLE she would go on extended sojourns into lala mapleland and not return till past midnight. Did I say anything? Noooo~ =S

Oh well, so I spent my afternoon and evening reading on my bed, accompanied by a tall glass of cold water and snacks. Of course I eventually got kinda bored, maybe cos it was getting too quiet. Dammit MSN crashed. =.= My MSN is like some retarded lump of code held together by spit and prayers. Happy not happy also crash. Hais.

Didn't feel too well so skipped dinner lol. And...now I'm guess I'll go back to reading. Or something. Anyway the strange sense of boredom and alienation was chased away by the internet, luckily. I think cos it was too darn quiet just now.
Played Some MU today, finished off The Oracle by Valerio Massimo Manfredi. Starting on The Death Collectors tomorrow. Later went to compass point for dinner. A new Action City outlet opened there. Yay. I got this. For my MU PK list.

Mine. Mine. Mine. =D
Then went to Suntec to spend some Royal Sporting House Vouchers my aunt gave my mum. THANKYOU!=D Royal Sporting House was pretty difficult to find. I like went to #01-156 before finding out it was halfway behind us like wth...

Walking all over Suntec was damn tiring...saw this amusing lego guy.

Maybe my legs haven't fully recovered from OGL camp. Lol.

Director's Author's Note:
Super long extended JPEG edition. One of the longer, if not the longest Plastic Muggers to-date. Don't ask me why the school has a self-destruct system. =D The first scene was a pretty big one, cos it looks pretty fake without walls, and I didn't have enough pieces of the same colour. So...a behind the scenes peek at my illusion.
Looks like I underestimated the effects OGL camp had on me. Felt a headache from sleep deprivation coming on at 1pm last night. Slept 12 hours straight to 12:50. So much for meeting at 12pm. Shawn smsed to say he was broke. So ended with just 2 people.

Changed meeting time to 2pm. Went to arcade first, then to Starbucks. Their paper is damn cool. Recycled. Lol. Bought a bag of chips before entering.

Chachos is not nice anymore. Their "cheesy cheese" is not as packed full of flavour as before. I'm not buying it again. =.= So bland. Happy Feet-PW! was nice. Pretty cool. Once again, when I saw it I marveled at the realistic 3D animation-PW! Then when I saw the ads for Open Season-PW! once again I thought, PW! My life has been forever changed by it. I don't think I will be the same again.

After the movie, went home for dinner. My sis did not heed my dad's calls for her to get off the com until he lost his temper. Whee. That's all I guess...

Finally back from the camp. Extremely tired. Lol. Was fun but it had its ups and downs too...3 day blog so this'll be a little long.
Day 1
Bright and sunny, seems great for a camp.

First came all the settling of the admin stuff then icebreakers which was I was supposed to handle. =S First time ma. Lol. Not too bad but could be better. After that came CSI.
Sitting there outside the photography room with people looking at me and all, with it being an extremely hot day.

After that came dinner and an extremely wonderful bath because I was totally drenched from sitting in that corner all day. I was reminded of the push button baths as described by Jeffrey Archer in his prison diaries. He managed to master the art of pressing the button before the water cut off to ensure a continous stream of icy water. Haha.

And I present to you, my bedroom! I was the bunk IC of F3-5. Under my "rule", I witnessed interesting activities that reminded me of Oceans' Eleven or Prison Break.

Day 2
PT in the morning. MMM day. Meridian Magnificent Marathon: The Quest. Indeed an interesting quest. I believe I was in water longer than Wet 'n' Wild day, and was definitely one of the soggiest, depressing and tiring days of the camp. =[

First of all weather was freaky, which was the worst-case scenario of the marathon. Alternate rain in different parts. So...some, I think lowlights is more appropriate:

Long distances covered on routes

Impossible tasks e.g.
Running from one end of a HDB block to another
Getting a girl to pick out 10 mealworms one by one
Someone drinking from a milk bottle till the water within hits the 50ml mark
(without removing the bottle from his mouth)
Laying 3 metres (exact) of bee hoon
Eating half a loaf of bread
All to be completed in 1min42secs o_O
Best of all, when everything is done, you must draw a card from a deck and the game IC too. Bigger no. wins. If you lose, REDO everything. I dunno how this proposal got through.

Cause of the weather, we were told to carry on in the drizzle. Then, we got caught in the rain in the middle of the flyover. =) So we made for the nearest shelter, which was...a tree. Such a tough death or death decision. Struck by lighting on the flyover or crushed by a falling tree. Hmm...in the end we gave up and walked in the rain to this ulu station. A dilapidated old pavilion. In the midst of...

Then it rained madly, so all of us were stuck in this pavilion for a real long time with nothing to do.And then the ants decided to move house.

Then we trudged for hours in the rain, wandering through HDB estates I have never set my eyes on ever in my entire life. Our hair kept getting periodical rinsings by sky juice, and my legs were burning. We were so wet we didn't even care. Then later it was stifling hot. =.=

Later on, campfire cheer session was fun though. =]

Day 3
MUCH more fun than Day 2. Some funny stations involving the using up of a single bar of soap as fast as possible and flour. Overall was pretty ok apart from the fact that we never completed all the stations due to lack of time. Admin stuff later before leaving.

Finally. Some R and R. Not. Went for pool later with Sixu, YM, and Shawn. Was half sleeping on the bus. Lol. Then for dinner before going home. Gonna go out again. Happy Feet. Though I don't think my feet are going to be happy with all the walking I did these days.

Sixu bears a strange resemblance to L here. =S

Thursday, November 23, 2006

Feeling pretty darn tired now. Might be because I've been running around all day. Woke up at 8am, but my biological snooze timer failed me today. When I next woke up, it was 8:47. "Crap!" Bathed and rushed out, skipping breakfast. Headed to school for some mild fun making water bombs.

Later went with Dan to WS library. Borrowed 2 books. Didn't manage to find It there. (I simply love the title. So confusing and full of double entendres.) After that headed home. Forgot there was training today. Not too bad. Took a cab in the rain cos the teacher didn't book transport today. =.=

After that rushed home. This kid kept crying and screaming and yelling non-stop and distracted me so that I got off one stop earlier on the LRT. Spent the next two minutes silently cursing. Managed to reach home in time. Went for the wedding dinner at the Raffles Town Club. Prestigious place.

We cousins spent quite a while comparing phones and sending music lol. Finally saw my baby cousin Tyrone for the first time. He's American! No, seriously! Hehs. Sweet.

Cute little guy. Lol. Later as we left I saw this Lamborghini Gallardo (OMGOMGOMG ARGHHHHHHH) parked at the porch of the Club. I was like, AHH! Damn I'm in the wrong side of the car and my batt's dead! Crap! So, no picture. Ok I'm off to pack, then to bed.
---
I had a plastice muggers brainwave but that'll have to wait.
---
Will be at OGL camp, offline for 3 days, seeya!

It may be a once in a lifetime event, but it seems more like the most incredulous and retarded event to ever happen in Singapore. I'm talking about the "boxing match between Daniel and Jason over Siantzu". Its so hyped up and the event is simply so ridiculous.

[Quote from my convo with Danson]
"Imagine this from a foreigner's point of view. Singapore, the country that banned chewing gum, hosts a boxing match organised by students of the top school in sg VS another top school in sg. Using VIOLENCE over a GIRL. Plus, it's sponsored by the nation's biggest telecommunications operator. WOW."

Well if it really happens, its gonna be "omgwtfbbq". BUT if it's not and some publicity stunt, well, we already knew it looked pretty contrived. I'm still not fully convinced its real. Still there are interviews of the antagonists' friends AND they ARE using expletives. Judge for youselves. =\

Anyway, while surfing earlier, I found this totally awesome song. Very funny. Lol.

Was looking through the site of the Singapore Paranormal Investigators last night. Now I know why in the movies, the characters always stupidly walk to find the source of the creepiness. The curiosity draws them inexorably and irresistably. After I was shaken by the picture of a (NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH)headless pawless dog, I still went on further to explore different sections. This effectively killed off any appetite for midnight gaming.

It is...horrifyingly addictive. I learnt more about the creepy house near the Punggol MRT station too. But why did I keep exploring the site till 1AM? I was creeped out, and yet I wanted to know more. We all have fears, irrational or not. They are an integral part of us. "The only thing to fear is fear itself". Easier said than done. We fear the dark, the unknown, the paranormal. The most unique fear is the irrational one. We know we are being silly but yet, we can't chase this feeling away. From where does it stem, such that it overpowers the thinking, logical mind completely, and screams at you to FLEE? Maybe we will someday know the answers.

Either way, I managed to capture these photographs today. I smelled smoke, and looked out of my windows, expecting a forest fire. Instead, I was treated to a magnificent display of nature. An awe-inspiring hawk/falcon/eagle rising majestically in circles, riding the thermals up. It was HUGE. I guess its wingspan must be about 3 to 4 feet in length. As it flew in circles, I got a wonderful view of it flying straight towards me, with its regal brown and white plumage. I was stunned silent.

Eventually I recovered enough to grab my camera, but waited one circle too long for a good shot for it flew off and I only just grabbed these two pics. If I had snapped earlier, I would've gotten a head-on picture of it. I don't think I will ever get such a shot ever again. It was simply breath-taking.

Anyway, the usual, played MU today. Had an extremely funny idea. See there are certain cocky people who have killed my Blade Knight when I just started it, and I have had to use my stronger Dark Lord to kill them back. So, there people are on my PK list, or "You-kill-my-BK-once-you-are-my-lifetime-PK-on-sight-enemy" List. So, I thought, instead of the scrap of paper I'm using as my PK list, I need a little black book for their names. A little black book...hmm...Death Note? HAHAHA! Perfect. So I'm gonna buy a small "Death Note" book ($6.90), and write the names of those idiots in it. If I ever see them again, I'll kill them on sight, no matter how old the grudge. Lol. It is the ultimate usage of the Death Note in real life. =D

We've gone so long without plastic muggers I hope the quality of this isn't too bad. =]

Hmm...played MU. Read. I have two days left to finish my library books since I'm going for camp. I don't tihnk I'll do it in time cos I kep playing MU. Probably hafta sacrifice 1 of them unread. I wish I could take more advantage of the library's 8 book promotion...=[

Sunday, November 19, 2006

Yet another day spent playing MU and reading. Homework? What homework? I am a disgraced Mugblood from the fine Mugland College. Sigh.

I will start on them...some time in the future? Ah. Boredom is still around today. My Blade Knight is easier to train today. Virutally everyone in my class is "busy". Ack. Our mass convo is dead. Net was acting up earlier. Anyways! My dad works at the airport right, and guess what he got me?

How cool is that? He stopped to grab a pic of the new Airbus A380! Heheh. Plus he got to see it personally. Which is more than can be said for most of us, lol. The quality's not bad, and the angle isn't that good, but I guess it was the best spot he could find. It's sitting pretty as my desktop wallpaper now. =]
It appears I have started something of a new craze. After inspiring Ben to do a Windows Vista skin, he says Xiwen wants an itunes skin, and Tak Wai wants a Windows Media Player 11 skin. All that from my old brainwave. Hahaha. I think I had this idea since before the promos. Henceforth let me be known as the originator of the online program-to-blogskin craze. w00ts.

Bored.

A pretty banal day. Played MU for quite a while. My Blade Knight is absolutely hell to level up. I half wanna revert to my 1st character, and half wanna force it to bypass my next reset. Think I'll do the latter.

I'm experimenting with Danson's way of blogging, which is rather useful. Isolating oneself from all form of external disruption, it is easier to think. It seems as though you can feel the gears of the mind work smoothly. Cliched, but I guess taking time off from everything and slowing down helps to clear your mind a bit. Seeking refuge from the cacophony of things that demand our attention all day, we can look through our minds metaphorically, and put everything back in order. After all, when nothing interesting happens in my day, what else can I do but to write a discourse on...nothing?

Indeed I have no topic, no theme, no main goal set for this prose to achieve. I am merely trying to blog something out of nothing. And motivated by boredom. This boredom is different from the isolation I mentioned earlier. The isolation provides a method by which to refreash our minds, to take a step back and see things once again. This boredom however is unstimulating. Your mind does not work. And I detest it so. So much time and nothing to do.

Honestly I feel what I wrote above was complete nonsense. I have run out of means by which to occupy myself. This boredom even takes over my will to blog. Such indescribable agony. Perhaps in this society, we are no longer left without things to do. And when the time comes in which we are completely free of all tasks, we lament it so, for we are used to the constant motion and pace of life. And when it goes, we lament that we had not used that time more wisely. Sigh. We are such irrational creatures.

And I am still bored. Thank you for wasting your time reading. Haha.
Pervious post was more of a rant, so. =] Nvm. Anyway Danson wanted to borrow my Dean Koontz books, so I came up with this on the spot(!) =D

Dan**We're all a little odd beneath the surface.** says:
lend me after you read!
{brudder bear} xD But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? <-\ÇhÂø§ ThËø®Ã¿/-> says:
But first, you shall have to pass these tasks three,
By which I affirm your love for books is not unlike me.
{brudder bear} xD But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? <-\ÇhÂø§ ThËø®Ã¿/-> says:
Dog ears I do not wish to see
On my beloved tomes of murder and mystery.
{brudder bear} xD But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? <-\ÇhÂø§ ThËø®Ã¿/-> says:
Folding of pages and bending of spine is not allowed
Such creases mar the beauty like a shroud.

First of all , THANKS Ben for taking a look at my funny code. =] Now, on with my day.

Went bowling today. Pretty screwy for some reson. Shawn suggested I try going lower which...amazingly fixed everything. Must be last training's stupid style. Subconsciously making me go higher on the approach. Once I do it lower, my score jumped to 167 from like 100+ =.=

Unfortunately that fragile shell of concentration was irreplacably shattered when some n00bz (definition:bowlers without etiquette, regardless of skill level) came to the next lane. Once again, when I was bowling, they chionged up next to me and bowled. I could almost see my focus splintering into little shards.

Plus when I was bowling, this girl was standing at the foul line of their lane STARING AT ME. I was approaching when...what is she staring at me for? Don't look at me like that! Stop! Go away! There's a white blur on my peripheral vision! Noooo....ball went all the way to the right. =.=

Then there later was a black blur which totally screwed everything. Why else do you think normal etiquette defines that you can only bowl when there is no one on the lanes on either side? To preserve the focus and concentration of both bowlers. Even if your score is like 10 per game, I would consider you a pro compared to those who just rush...

AND once again a new n00bz skills has revealed itself. Tripleshot is so last season. Bring in Tetrashot! 4 balls in the lane. They bowl, the guard comes down, they bowl 2 more balls! Both hit the guard and stopped in the gutter. The guard is just going up, here comes the fourth ball! People without etiquette ALWAYS love to dump 2 or more balls into the lanes at one shot. PLEASE. We already know you don't have common sense.

Even if their lack of etiquette is forgivable, doing Double/Triple/TetraShot is not. For goodness sake. 2 balls at one go? Any sane person know that is wrong. 3 or 4? I have nothing to say. Hais.

Came back, played MU. Nothing interesting. And...that's it I guess.

Thursday, November 16, 2006

Played MU in the morning today. My sis cried cos she couldn't maple. Maybe I shouldn't mention it anymore. Everytime she can't maple there's only one reaction. Can one game be so addictive??? In the end of course I relented and let her play. She's back mapling directly after we came home from dinner. I dunno why I still let her continue her addiction...=.=

After that I retired to my room to read and play a little bit of Swarm. It's a FANTASTIC and midly violent game, in which the objective to acheive the highest "Splatter Velocity". You control a swarm of insects(judging from the noise they produce), and your objective is to attack people, flinging them into the air as high and as long as possible so that they return with a satisfying splat.

Despite its seemingly violent premise, Swarm is actually a very humorous and entertaining game if you try it. My first few minutes in the game were accompanied by bouts of uncontrollable laughter. It isn't that bad after all, since all you see is red smears and black stick figures getting splattered. The physics is excellent, and the game overall is quite addictive. Getting a top velocity is not that easy either. All in all, a fine game to while away the time with for those who do not mind a little blood.

Took some pics for fun. One of the things I like about my place is that the evening sky almost always looks great. I wish I had a better camera for it all. Full size, my handphone camera pics are highly inadequate. =[ These pictures simply do not convey the full glory of the twilight skies...

Noticed a few new changes around the blog? The colour maybe? Well, all that took me QUITE a while to put together. More on that later. Feeling rather exhausted now. Went to school for the OGL stuff, usual admin stuff, we did practical session on the ice breaker sessions, lol.

Didn't have a good time at bowling. My stepping was changed which was like ugh. It's pretty messy having 2 coaches. I'd prefer the one who taught us more last week. The new mehod isn't working well, so I'm gonna switch back next week. Zzz. Later went to Changi Village with Shawn and BenQ for dinner. We ordered the sambal stingray. Yum. Heheh.

Came home to finish up this blogskin. Thank goodness for Photoshop. Still blood, sweat and tears went into it. Almost literally. Converting a former BLACK blog to WHITE is no mean feat. Colour codes everywhere in all the fiddly bits to change.AND disaster had to strike.

When I was about 80% done, I pressed backspace to delete a character but by some fluke, the cursor which looked like it was in the text WAS NOT. Bye-bye changes. Then was when the vomiting of blood and shedding of tears nearly began.YET! I was so annoyed by this stupid error, I was motivated to complete this blogskin right here and now. So, after the initial cursing, I got right down to it again.

AND, techonology dogs me again, becuase when I restarted, somehow the page shrank. Determined to fight through, I squinted at the ant words before realising that the error lay in my IE7. Has to convert the size back to 100% =.= Either way, after much ado, here it is, my MSN blogskin...ok i'm gonna go to sleep soon. Yawn. Tired.

Singapore's public transport system is increasingly disappointing...in a recent survey I read in the papers, they still said the public's perception of public transport has gone up. Pfft. Lies. Early this morning, I passed Shawn his 2nd draft of the InR, then directed him to the 89 bus-stop. He waited 1 hour. For something which USUALLY comes every 10 mins.

While he was complaining by sms to me, I had the time to go home, bathe and then go out. When my LRT reached the stop, the bus finally came left. Such "apt" coordination. I waited half an hour for my bus. Great. I absolutely, positively, definitely HATE being late. =.= Once again Singapore's "efficient" public transport system fails me!

DANGEROUS thought of the day: As if waiting so long for the bus isn't enough, it has to be irregular. (I took the bus after Shawn.) Hence...GST go up and transport still sucks. Plus, my family isn;t exactly living the high life and cost of living goes up. Thank you gahmen!
Note: If all trace of my existence disappears tomorrow, you'll know what happened.

Either way, submitted InR, went to bookshop because Ben left our file dividers at home. In Sengkang. Haha. After much ado, finally submitted the InR. Lent Val The Vuiolin by Anne Rice. Waited for Danson cos thought he was gonna go bowling.

Went for lunch at Pastamania. Jocelyn, Choon Tee, and Diana came to find Danson, Galvyn and I. Galvyn...was last to finish. Lol. Went to Tamp SAFRA, played a couple of games, headed home. Sure is great to have a book and MP3 on long bus rides...

Came home...asked my sister to let me play MU for a while. She reacted as though I had just asked her jump off this building. Considering the amount of time she maples, and how much time I play MU... Plus, these few days whenever I play its cos she's gone offline for some reason, like a movie with her friends. SO LONG I haven't asked her to let me play MU and she does this. Great...

[UPDATE]

Managed to chase her off. Got 6 hrs of MU. Was starting to burn out at 5. I wonder how she can keep this up, nearly 10 hours a day, everyday. Levelling my blade Knight is terrible. VERY slow. But it'll turn out to be a srong character in the end. Especially for killing others. ;)

To curb boredom, a friend and I posted nonsense messages on the world chat for all to see. We sold imaginary weapons like:
Bow of Alexandria
Sword of Hercules
Staff of Sun Wukong
Box of Rubbish
Tsunami Set
Tornado Pants
Helm of Happiness
And all these got us laughing like crazy. Someone caught on and posted he was selling a "Bird of God". Some poor guy who messaged me for the Sword of Hercules asked me for details about it, which I provided and then said it was sold. Lol. I cracked up at that. Then I bet he asked some pros, and was pretty miffed to find he'd been fooled and told me "stop selling shit that you don't have". Lol. Passed the time really well though...

Monday, November 13, 2006

Woke at 11 plus, watched an old Bond movie on TV before doing I&R. I saw a preview of Casino Royale and I feel like watching it. The fight sequence on the crane was pretty cool. Haha. Had a power cut later from 2.30-3.30 which the HDB informed us of earlier. Maintenance of the electricity. My sis cried cos she couldn't maple, and she was in the middle of a party quest when the power was shut off.

When it got back up, I helped Shawn print his InR, and later he came over to take it. We ogled at my sister madly mapling for a few moments as the com restarted. Failed to insall MUonline on my com. She's is clinically insane. Even without power.

So much for Hell. No Tv and No maple, so INSTEAD of reading her library books, she grabbed her Gameboy. She's glued to all forms of electronic entertainment already. I have no idea why she borrowed those books. They neither beep nor flash colours, NOR do they provide an infinite supply of mushrooms for you to disembowel.

So, I asked her not to touch the com and let me print my stuff. She made clear her annoyance and pissed-offness before scrunching up into a little ball of Mad Mapler on the chair and continued jabbing the buttons of the Gameboy as though they had personally offended her. Because she was playing Real Life CS and camping on the chair, I was left to stand there and slowly print the InR. When it was done, she impatiently called me to close everything, and sarcastically remarked on my speed.

Did I mention she backhanded a fist into my stomach because I disturbed her at maple earlier? Hell hath no fury like that of my sister mapling.

By the way,
[pic removed cos it was screwing up my Msn blogskin. Anyway, it was just STOMP emailing me to say my contribution would be put up this week]
=D

[UPDATE]

I nearly went nuts earlier. I was super multi-tasking until I thought my brain would overload The tasks that came and went were:
-talking about MU with Shawn
-Jocelyn was requesting help on InR about coastal reefs
-talking in PW group mass convo
-Syahida asking about InR
-closing a SUPER CHEAP deal in MU
-FREAKING out over that SUPER CHEAP deal (guy din't know what he was selling)
-upgrading the item i got on that deal
-getting good weapons from Shawn
-failing the upgrading, need to get jewels to upgrade again
-grabbing a cable to charge my com
-going to Icarus to train with Shawn
In the end I just gave up and shut off MU. Hahaha. All were happening SIMULTANEOUSLY with the exceptiong of a few...nearly chaos...

Sunday, November 12, 2006

The drone of the vaccuum cleaner breaks the silence of this balmy Sunday afternoon. It mingles with the tunes of Maple, as my sister embarks on yet another orgy of rat exterminating in the party quest. The faint sounds of traffic filter from the outside; I open the window only to let the heat in.

This oppressive heat smothers all, making the slightest activity seem uninvitingly tedious. Surely not a pleasant condition in which to do my I and R. But still, even as I try to make myself do it, I while away my time here. In the warmer regions of the world, this would be the siesta period, in which everyone winds up, closes shop, and retreats to the comfort of the shade.

The heat is too much for anyone to do anyhing at all. Still, the deadline draws closer, a grinning demon lurking at the farthest reaches of my consciousness. It hangs about like a perpetual cloud over the horizon, reminding me I have work to do. Which is why I have to drag myself here to be free from this fiend. Enough with the words. I have the I&R to do, with the afternoon heat as my companion. It is enough to make one fall asleep.

[UPDATE]

Stupid Blogger. =.= Nevermind that. Anyway, submitted my I&R first draft already. Let's hope its not too bad. By the way, my sister has bought her one-way ticket to hell and she's not selling it on ebay! Who needs sex, drugs and rock n roll when you've got Maple, Instant Wonton, and Junk food? Whoo~! Well, since my mum isn't cooking dinner today, me and my dad are going out to eat.

My sister on the other hand says she wants to stay home to watch a new Disney movie that (once again!) stereotypes all Asians as having magical Kung Fu powers, and thus are able to defeat big mean bad guys with flying kicks and hysterical screaming. Oh, and I think they packed in a life lesson as an afterthought to make it Disney.

Unlike movies like "The Three Ninjas" and all the Mr Miyagi shows, ALL the stunts and Kung Fu fighting in these show are executed by Asians. What's up with that? Back on topic, I suspect she just wants an excuse to play Maple. The movie is just a fringe benefit. So, what is she having for dinner? Instant noodle, and instant wonton, cooked separately. She is insanely hooked on this crap. Imagine the MSG she's packing, phew.

She is addicted to instant wonton. =.= My mum buys boxes of the Qbite brand INSTANT WONTON, and I think 90% is consumed by her. She bought 2 bowls of the CP brand INSTANT WONTON, and both were finished by her in like 3 days. She is changing into a Mad-Mapling, Instant-Wonton-Eating Machine day by day.

Saturday, November 11, 2006

So much for getting a Barbie doll for YM. Calven PSed last night, said his mum was bring him out. Stayed at home to play MU. Using a character I created for fun (XXRAINIEXX), I spoke twitspeak to piss off people. Utterly hilarious and a great way to pass the time.

Played MU till about 7, went online, had dinner. Curry chicken. Yum. Then went online, and had Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia for dessert. YUM. A close rival behind chocolate. Too bad chocolate of all names (Phish Food, Chocolate Fudge Brownie somthing-or-other, Chocolate Cookie Dough) will always remain at the top of my list.

Well, later Calesta asked me if I could shift the Movie Marathon to 23-24 instead of 22-23. And I was like WTH I thought we already fixed everything! And she said they a felicity(their old class...) BBQ. Exactly on the 22nd. This when I posted the date of our marathon on my nick for the entire world (well, just my contact list) for two full days.

I initailly wanted to rant and blast a fiery post about all of that here, and say I was washing my hands of all this crap wasting my effort already, but at least she had the decency to thank me for all I did. Like creating the Excel calendar to find a date which everyone was free, asking everyone to confirm all of the dates, and finally fixing up the final date so that 9 people are free on the days involved, coordinating it to MAKE SURE both poly and JC students can make it, only to have it all ruined. In case you're wondering, 6 of the people involved are going for the BBQ, which leaves...3 of us. =.=

Well, at least I'm less annoyed now, and since the poly holdiay should be confirmed, I damn well hope NOBODY has anything on on the 24th, because if so, not only heads are gonna rool. Certain bits of the anatomy are going to be removed. The brain, for instance.

Went out bowling today. Wasn't that pleasant. Both lanes beside us had n00bz. I DO NOT discriminate against people who hardly play. I call them so because they do not have basic courtesy. Since a noob is "someone who has played the game for a while but is not good at it", isn't it common sense to know when someone is bowling, you should wait? 2 people going at once distracts both of them.

So it's like I'm on the lane, and just as I take my first step, they rush on to the lane and bowl. Then I had to stop, and return to my starting position again. They also like to wander onto other people's lanes and such...They have an "Aura of Confusion" about them to befuddle people on other lanes.

I have decided to change my definition of bowling n00b. It is, as of now, someone who "behaves with bad etiquette on the lanes, and/or disturbs othes." Well, these n00bs despite having an "Aura of Confusion", they also have "DoubleShot", and (newly-discovered today!!!) "TripleShot" skills, along with LaneSteal. These skills have no other effect than to irritate and distract other people, and demonstrate their general lack of intelligence.

First of all, let me recount events as they happened. Well, a few lanes over were this group of Malay youths. They were shouting and screaming and sitting on the lanes, and making a nuisance of themselves. Later on, the manager came and talked to the two younger boys in the group, mentioning something about a "student pass".

Later they did TripleShot, which was something I had never seen before because most n00bz we saw were not so retarded. After one guy bowled, 2 guys bowled 2 balls into the lane after it. Hence, they hit the barrier which came down after the first ball went in, leaving 2 balls in the gutters. As the management came over to remove their balls (from the lane), another one of the idiots bowled another ball into the lane...

Later, after the lane next to us packed up to leave, they TOOK CONTROL of that lane. Somehow, that lane was not shut down, and still had the names of the previous bowlers, and they kept bowling there. I sure hope they're made to pay for the frames they bowled. =.= Cos now they were bowling next to us, and they just kept standing on the lane. Hello? The chairs are built there for a reason! Then comes the dangerous part.

Shawn bowled a very nice ball. Sweet-looking and all(high rev, nice hook, blah, blah). Hit the pocket(the right spot). 7-10 split. (Hardest spilt in the game) As he was like wtf-ing at the moment, one of the boys ran in front and slid on the floor infront of him. Whoa. You shoulda seen the look on his face. Total I'm-so-gonna-slaughter-you-you-little-prick-and-use-your-head-as-the-ball-RAWRRRR. As he walked back, he glared at that boy. If looks could kill, that kid would just be a smoldering patch of floor right now.

Thankfully our old coach was chating with us, and coach, me, and terence told him to relax. Shawn told me if coach weren't there, he'd have shoved the guy. He did it on me to demonstrate, and it hurt! Thanks goodness he didn't push that guy though. We were outnumbered. Haha. Where's Sixu and Siwei when you need them? They're our version of the Matrix's dreadlocked twins. Skilled in Wushu and Ninjado. Great guys.

Anyway, they bowled for a while, then another of our old coaches came along too! Cos we said those lanes might not be theirs, he asked them, but they said yes...=.= Anyway, they were such troublemakers, I think the management chased them out later. We requested to be shifted, so we shifted lanes waaaaay over to the other side. Peace, quiet, and no n00bz. Until later. But those that came later were waaaay better than those loutish boys...even though they did a DoubleShot once. Geniuses.

Wow. Today was pretty tiring. Woke up at 5:45 to head out. The earliest time I've ever woken up to go to MJ...was like no one in the neighbourhood. Usually there's the stray person or a parent leading their child.

I was lucky today, as I didn't wait too long for the bus.Reached school in time, at 6:30. I think I was the first person in school. It was all dark and empty. Got boring, so I just stood there and watched the sky change colour. The sky metamorphosed from a blanket of black to dark blue, and later a rather pleasant shade of light blue. The clouds were tinged cotton candy pink.

Later came Ariffin, then Diana, Sabrina, and Priscilla, and others. Animated Anmari's slides. We were so afraid she might be late. Then realised I FORGOT to print the handouts. So went council rm print. Lucky we got connection. I can honestly say we'd be a lot more crappy without Ben's technical knowhow. Just so all that praise doesn't go to your head, you're STILL CRAPPY! =P Anw, went to the photocopy shop and printed 2 sets, cos the council rm set was on scrap paper. Just nice $2.50.

Then we reported in. I had a severe irrational case of the nerves just before it started. Felt very queasy and kept coughing to like hold back that feeling. It subsided after quite a while. Felt I wasn't very fluent =X, but fielded the questions ok. I even said molecules were all "sticks and balls" before I knew it, which made the whole room laugh. Val must've been influenced by me cos she later said liberal fashion could be "revealing of more body parts" hahaha.

Had to stay for Diana and Val's group to be done. They did pretty well. Later we decided to go watch flushed away! Yay! I canceled my bowling trip, went home to shower and change. I didn't know the rest went to TM to eat...=[

Anyway I met Diana at Somerset. The rest were late...by like half hour? Dunno. Went to book 10 tix. Me, Diana, Val, Cassandra, Chris, Dan, Galvyn, Ariffin, Zul, Sharaf.

Flushed away was very funny. Stuffed to the eyeballs with puns and all. They spoofed Nemo in one scene. And the slugs were damn cute...after that went Kino. Bumping in to Jacky.(Sec 1,2 classmate) Caught up on each other for a bit. Haha. Bought The Shining by Stephen King and Velocity by Dean Koontz. Feeling damn guilty now. $36.70.
Later walked around abit. Skipped dinner and went home for instant noodles to save $. So tired from all the walking. Bowling tomorrow haha.

Ahhs...I'm gonna lose sleep due to PW again. Damn. Tml must be in school at 6:30...which means I must wake up at...I dunno, 5 plus? Gah. Are there even buses running at 5 plus? Zzz...and have to face those teachers and do OP so early in the morning. The very thought is so unappetising.

Today was pretty ok. Woke up 15 min early and arrived in sch 30 mins earlier. That's the weirdness of Singapore's transport system. Must be quantum physics or relativity hidden somwhere in those buses.

Insanely, although I was sure I did charge my laptop last night, my laptop wouldn't start up this morning, like wth? I panicked at first thinking there was something wrong, and rushed to find a power point to charge it to make sure. I was so freaked I ran into the library with my bag. Then I dumped it outside, grabbed my charger and ran in. To find the second floor closed. I rushed out to stuff all of it back and and dashed up to C block to find almost all the classroom occupied. One entire school, and no convenient power points?

Eventually I came to the 3rd floor benches near council room, unplugged this fan and plugged in my com to charge it. It turned on. I still have no idea where 3 hours worth of power went. Since I charge my computer and play my music from the same plug, if I hear music, my com is charging. Yet...today morning was weird.

Anyway going to that bench was pretty lucky. Lol. Fate or something. I kept bumping into people from my class. Saw Danson, Chris and Galvyn, Syahida, Daren and Geok Yan, Sunny and Ken Wee and Doris. Haha. Turns out Syahida and Sunny's group were on the 3rd floor of F block.

Later I shifted into one of the classrooms. It was like 12 plus when Kiaming arrived. So much for 11am. Then came Ben from his meeting which dragged over 2 hrs late, and even pris from her dental appointment. Haha. Again we touched up the slides, then finally practiced with Syahida's group in attendance. Well, my section is longer now, although I speak too fast. Damn. Must remember to slow down.

And I was too soft. Darn. Soft is what I've never known myself to be during presentations and such, especially in the past. So...weird. Huh. Lol, anyway as I left for my CCA, they were considering getting someone to order food...I was sooo jealous la. I hadn't eaten since the morning, and I can't eat now since I gotta go for CCA.

Well, later turns out I had time cos they were waiting for Shawn and I ran to canteen to wolf down some nuggests and a fish burger. Then...to training and then home. Ok...time to take a look at my OP.

Oh, I forgot some pics of yesterday. Shall post them here.

If you see any suspicious articles, please report them to our staff or call 999.

Students are not allowed to bounce in here.

Anyway we tied ben's pants together!

So he attempted to undo it with his teeth.

Tis' the Christmas Season! He's wearing red and green.

Obviously in this age of camera phones, you know what happens when you fall alseep in front of your friends.

Hmm today. Once again, took the same bus as Benedict(lol) to sch. Did more stuff to the presentation. Stole the Eiffel 65 Blue video off youtube cos Ben mentioned it contained 3D, and its from 1999. Not to mention it's one of my favourite songs, lol.
So we've got a short music video clip at the front of our slides, and an incredibly realistic 3D picture at the back.

I felt my fluency sucked today, and I was talking too fast. Still got 6,7,6. & cos I was looking at him more today. >< I wonder what you need to do to get a 10. Question...I had an advantage cos he asked Priscilla that same qn before me. Was a tough one. I went back and edited my slides and all, so I hope tomorrow I can familiarise myself with the new slides. I've added new sentences.

Changing your script 2 days before the actual presentation does not seem too attractive, but... no choice. Let's see if my new slides work out. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I saw Conrad playing with his face; namely his cheeks while Ben was delievering his section. =\
