Went Ubin today. Was damn tiring. I'm WAY out of shape. I hope this is sort of 'training' for my trip. However it definitely was a new experience for me. I seemed to have stepped back in another day and age, if not for the Lady Gaga song blasting from the speakers of one of the eateries housed in quaint wooden shophouses.

The main village was mostly wooden structures, a nostalgic little kampung with paths leading to other parts of the island. We visited the east, and the Chek Jawa Wetlands which had a nice coastal boardwalk and interesting flora and fauna. Gosh I feel like I'm writing an essay LOL. They then decided to explore the mountain biking trail. Wow ok. But it was worth the pain and sweat and breathless agony and the burn in my thighs as I got some cool shots up there.

We took the easy trail around, resting at various shelters and eventually made it back to the vilage. Decided to explore a bit but then it rained, so we hurried back and took the ferry back. A novel experience for me.
