Sometimes, I wonder. Was it really worth going to JC? You see a glimpse of the real working world in your face. As the chinese say, a knife behind every smile. You don't mature here. Maturity is thrust upon you, and you are to run with it. The buck doesn't stop here; it multiplies, replicates, evolves, and ensnares.
Because of the relatively truncanated period, a lot of stuff is crammed in a short period of time. You do not opt to mug, you already are. Even if you didn't, you will soon see that many enter with the image of university in their minds, along with that most hallowed of documents, the testimonial.

This is my blog but not everything that goes on has to appear here. So there. =P
Along with my loss, that part of me that used to love English had no cause to go on. GP is is a subject in English. It has nothing to do with it. It deals with current affairs. Nobody gives a rat's ass about your high distinction in P6 or you topping the school. It's ok. I'm alright. This is after all the real world. Cutthroat competitiveness; dog eat dog. You win the votes, you get the job. Basic simplicity of life.
I fall back on the subject I'm worst at. Chinese. So I'm now the CLB rep. How glorious. Chinese Language Best, as my friends used to say. Haha. Those were the days. Anmari nearly contested it. And...I think she might've won. Strike three for me if she did. Who supports me? Ha. Getting a post is not everything...I know that. I'm just being practical. Now I try to get a post in the CCA committee. Its better than subject rep, but do i have a chance? If I had a choice, definitely I would opt for CCA comm.
Still, how much does passion and determination count for? I have no 1st 3 months in here. Strike one. I have no former bowling experience in secondary school, other do. Strike two. I do not have a score as good as others. Strike three. Close my eyes and hope for the best. I hope I get a chance.
I'm unsure about the interview part. I have to submit an application letter, even. Such is this world. There are many contesting for the post too. I'm aiming for treasurer, and so are up to 3 others. Society pits friend against friend; creates inhouse politics and infighting. Bt what are we to do? This. Is the result of our bloodthirsty education system. I had to submit my application letter by tomorrow, and revise for my economics test and watch out for the Chemistry SPA and redox test (tomorrow!). There is always stuff to do. The weekends is when I can safely remove (almost) all the heads of this hydra.
Life sucks and everyone knows it; so shut up.
