Went to Sentosa today. MJ Orientation! Woo-HOO! Getting owned was never so fun. My house came in last -.-, but no matter! As long as we had fun, all's ok! ^^ Today would have been perfect except for
a) the route
b)the thirst
c)when I came home and turned on the com and went online...nevermind. =X
We had fun at each station, but the transit SUCKED. We got to the ferry terminal, cheered like hell, discussed tomorrow's skit for the campfire, cheered like hell again, den set out. Oh ya, OGL told us our route sucks, which later became apparent. 1st stop, artificial island which I BELIEVE IS THE SOUTHERNMOST POINT OF SINGAPOREAN LAND. Took a cool green line bus(open-topped) to Siloso, traipsed all across the sand, crossed a long and narrow bridge to get to the Game ICs. 1st game: Capture the flag. Me camper! Bwahahahaz! Camp in front of the flag, to see an opponent come running. Block, grab, both tumble and eat sand. LOL! Stand up again, den dunno where he was..I still a bit disoriented at that time, cos just fell, den not sure wth I was doing, haha. Then before I knew it, we had got the flag! Woo! Do cheer, say goodbye, den station 2, which is ALL THE WAY back behind the sentosa visitor centre. -.- Ah...station 2 we did some lying down on some REALLY itchy grass, some interesting game, and went off again. After that we went to the 3rd station, which was uh..I think all about stepping on paper plates with numbers behind them. Wow. It was the one with the longest distance btwn station, so we took the bus. All we knew was that it was some where Underwater world. So we went there, we went to the back, we looked, nothing. They claled, and waited, and recce, nothing. I tihnk we wasted like 10-15 mins there. In the end we got the directions. All we had to do was to go REALLY behind UW world, off track, cross a grassy verge, down a gass slope, an asphalt path, up a grass verge, between a row of trees, avoid a muddy track, down a path. Voila! 3rd station! Easy right? Right? We did the stepping of plates, then I played a game of bridge. Turns out, the teacher with us, teaches Chem, so I might be under him. AND, he's in charge of Bridge CCA. lol. I pair with him but still lose. Nv play with "dummy" de bridge game b4. Then they asked for 4 guys to hlep carry lunches. Since only a few volunteered, I went along. Euthu eh? Wooooo-crap. Guess wad happened? We walked like 1.5 km (or more?) along the edge of the island from near the bottom to the top! (Ferry terminal) We got there, learned there was a comms screwup, and the food was supposed to be delivered. WTH? Took the bus all the way back, got off, and walked "behind UW world, off track, cross a grassy verge, down a gass slope, an asphalt path, up a grass verge, between a row of trees, avoid a muddy track, down a path." Again. Oh, and on the way, I accidentally leaped in to a patch on mud. How lucky. My New Balance shoes are now a tasty chocolatey colour. Yum. -.- On the bright side, luckily I DIDN'T wear my Converse sneaks. ^^ Got there about 12.40, but lunch was extended to 1.30. Feeling a bit >:[ over the cockup and my shoes, but not REALLY angry. lol. Just annoyed. As for my shoes, pissed at myself cos I only have myself to blame for that. Then we had to walk all the way NEAR the top of Sentosa again, for the next station, which involved, passing rubber bands using straws and mouths, and straws using your upper lip and nose (HARD.) Next, from NEAR the top of the island to down to the bottom near underwater world again, for a game which involved our legs being tied together, and moving about to find our balls newspaper balls. Then, we had to run all the way back to Siloso , to the SOUTHERNMOST point again, (Station1) To end the game. I also wanna mention that our group had like 20 people, while others had like 10+? =X The caterpillar thing was done with tying 20 ppl together also. This made it harder, with the larger head count, but we made it thru, and managed to get full marks for everything! WOOOO! Now I'll try and find a map and mark out our entire journey for my dear readers. routes I makred are "as the crow flies" direct. Take into account...winding roads, corssing of roads, ups and downs and u turns.***Route also includes my detour to ferry terminal for lunch.
Nice web right? Anyway, after htta went to Habbourfront's Mcdonald for OG dinner. I ahve to say, I TOTALLY LOVE THIS OG. Disclaimer: I love my old OG too. Well, most of it. Ok fine, the people who actually joined us out more and went for the "OG Sentosa Outing" This OG is so on, and enthu! We had dinner, talk about lotsa stuff, discuss the skit till the OGls came and just talked! Great OG dinnner. And we were only 1 of 2 OGs that had such a dinner. So many OGs, so little dinners, haha. Then we went to shop for snacks and chooclates for tomorrow! Yum! Then went home. OG outing pending for Sun. Whoopee! We lose in points but PWNZOR in fun~ ^^ Dun worry my (select)SR og ppl, I still love you all..lol. Don't forget Monday AND Tues. =D
