It's that time of year again! Yes. My X'mas list! I have a coupla ideas.
1)Padded closed bag for a DSLR. So I can pack it up safely and stuff it into any of my bags for easier transport.
2)Design as Art - Bruno Munari. Book, can be bought at Basheer at Bras Basah. (Cheaper than at Kino.)
3)Designing Design - Kenya Hara. Book. Heard it's out of print and expensive. Not too sure though.
4) OMGOMGOMG http://www.flashrods.com/frs/Sport.html I want the Silver DeLorean! I could have gone for the cheapest models(US$2.50 less) but if I'm going to ship a toy car over from the US I might as well just go out a little more and get a nicer one!

OMG why is the DeLorean sold outtt. RAWR. NO. =( Maybe an R8. OR the latest Nissan GT-R. Want a DeLorean. =( Oh Ferrari 458 looks good.

Haha. Haven't blogged. Been spending too much time going out nonstop omg. Yay. Holiday. Heh. Uh ok, test on Friday...my 2nd part was quite messed up. Sigh. I hope I do ok. After class went for farewell dinner for one of my prof's who's flying back to Ohio. At some Egyptian place in Haji Lane. Originally we left cos she and her friend went to the toilet but we still ended up sitting together. ^^

After dinner went to this place cos some of them went to smoke shisha. I smoked it too and took some drugs HAHAHA NO LA. I didn't smoke. After sitting/smoking for while we left and had tauhuay. Saturday I went out with XW to buy my D90 YAY.Got it, lugged everything home and charged it. Went to meet the guys for late dinner. Timbre@Substation was bloody crowded so went to CHIJMES instead. Dinner at Hog's Breath Cafe.

Sun went to watch Easy A with some classmates. It was pretty funny. Haha. So I had CHIJMES pics and Orchard Lights pics. Today went to barrage to fly kite. It rained! =( Stopped for a while so we played a bit then went to Marina Sq. Went to have dinner, then walked around a bit first before going home.

Another mad day of discussion. We went to One Fullerton's Starbucks. It was hot but later rained non-stop. It a nice place to mug, nevertheless. Once again, started the day off with a Toffee Nut Frap and a Bagel. This time, Wholemeal Multigrain Bagel. So healthy. So yummy. I think this will be my signature atas breakfast already. Sub-$10 Starbucks breakfast. Shiok. Love it ttm.

Engaged in discussion all day. Not bad. Went to Funan to my friend's friends's Challenger. I've decided to get D90. D7000 much as I want it, is freaking expensive and currently out of stock. Need to wait a few months. I don't wanna wait. Been talking about DSLR since early this year. D90 should be good enough. Prolly get a prime lens. Drybox. Maybe bits and pieces here and there too. At least I can get it at a better price. Go down again next week? Finally. lol. Also end of exams.

Made quite a bit of progress today! Met up with my classmates at Liang Court Starbucks to discuss our module's reading. It was pretty fun and way more interesting than trying to understand and mug it alone. Discussion was gtood and I feel we all learned a lot too. Everyone was quite brain-fried by the end, which is good I guess? lol. Another session tomorrow. Hope it will be at least as fruitful.

Nothing much today. Went toprint my Ar reading in school and went to meet tak and study for a while XWand Val din return my calls. Vl din even receive them. Weird. Got through quite a bit of readings. Somehow reading them now is a lot more informative than weeks ago. Maybe its the exams? But they seem more appealing now. Maybe it's also the combined appeal of going to Starbucks, discussing these arty-farty topics with my friends, sipping a toffee-nut latte, and sketch random stuff on paper. It's all very alluring.

Went to Studio with XW and her friend. Showede them how imba it is. We really have one of the if not, THE best mugging spots in school. Aircon, no mad queue to get in, YOUR OWN table and chair, nearby power points, nearby watercooler and toilet. AND shower. The only thing far is...a vending machine? And it's only a quick trip out of studio to get it. Lol. Went back to hall for dinner and more mugging. Out tomorrow for discussion. I'm thinking I should turn back my body clock a little and sleep BEFORE 3.

I asked her out but she said too many people. =\ Maybe yest she was rly busy and today would be ok but now there's a lot of people. =S She also said she's sick. =X

Hmm din blog for a few days. Basically I mugged like mad over the weekend got my exam today. I also squeezed in Megamind on Fri and HP7 and Jumbo dinner on Sat lol. I made v little progress on Sat but forced myself to get down to work on Sun. I managed to finish making my notes. Thenwent to sch and tried to research a bit. I decided to sleep earlier and mug a bit before. I'm kindagrateful for the 9 hour sleep before the exam. Probably helped.

Got to school and slowly everyone came in and started mugging. There's a mugger in all of us, despite the design course. hahaha. People trying to one-up one another in perfect recitation of the material. And well, it's tried and tested proven to work. MCQ was pretty okay. If you mugged, well, no problem there.

We all went out for dinner and stayed at Starbucks till late, mugging. I spoke to her a bit today but she left later. =( Now it's time to mug for my last exam. Lots of reading and abstract stuff to go through. =S

Today was nothing much. I finished most of my work so I just had to take photos of them and then Photoshop them and print them out tomorrow. Finally got back to my room after the past two days.

Things have been progressing...quite well? And spending some together time made this one of the best days ever.

Not been blogging again, but nothing special. Spent my reading week heading down to studio to work on my styrofoam modeling and sanding like crazy. I think I'm done with my foam. Made more progress on Tues and Wed. lol. Looks somewhat ok now. So insane. I never want to do something like that again. Character-building my arse.

More like just teaches you how to switch off your brain and work, like in army. Sand sand sand. Wearing the mask for hours on end, the strap stressing the back of your neck and the strain on your neck and the restricted breathing. Finally done. I thought I was gonna go crazy. Sanding for like 3 days straight.

Decided to stay back tonight. Cos she did. Lol. Well at least I finished my foam now. Left my clay but no mood to sand (ugh) it. Dinner was nice. ^^

Stayed up overnight to sand my foam and finally finished in...the wee hours of the morning? I lose track of time. No clocks and no windows here. The morning was really nice too. ^^

Not been blogging lol. Uh. Let's see. Egg drop test. Frickin' scary. Damn stressed. We worked till 6AM the night before but I think it was worth it. We pulled through ok a nd I think our presentation was ok. Our drop was nerve-wracking! Thank goodness only 1 egg cracked! Considering it fell head first, not too bad!

Yeah. After that, had modeling class. Went back home and watched Red with my friends. Not bad. Quite funny. Haha. Surpised I didn't fall asleep throughout. Then went home and crashed till afternoon. Forgot to upload my egg presentation online! =\ Went out to City Hall and met my classmates. Had lunch at Marina Sq and then went to watch Red. I sat next to her. ^^ Then we walked to MBS and enjoyed the scenery. Went for the BMW exhibition. Then we went to Lau Pa Sat for dinner.

Walked to Central. SO FAR. Damn glad to reach. No place to chill. Ugh. Went to Liang Court for Starbucks. After some debate we took the train instead of cab. It was 11 by then, so I told her to text me when she got home, which she did. =) Slacked on Sunday. Went to val's plce to study with them. While I watched my neglected TV shows.

Quiet day I guess. They were like half talking and studying. Lol. I texted her but she replied once only. =( Then slept over. XW kept me up late cos she decided to recreate all of us at Sims! lol.

Spent whole day in sch. Damn sian. I don't seem to be making a lot of progress with my styrofoam. Damn emo at the end la. She came in the afternoon today. We all went out for dinner. Actually it was me and 7 girls. We talked a bi on the way back. Until we realised we were in front and everyone was lingering behind. Ahem.

Another late day. Blog tmr while the rest are mugging. Shall slp a lil earlier. Lol.

I totally enjoyed today. ^^

I'll blog tmr I guess. Glad that most of our submissions are over. Today's one was completely nerve-wracking. Talk abt it more tomorrow.

Tought I'd take a break from sketching to blog. Had another major test today. Same mod as the first one. Mech engine. This one, I studied and made notes. Granted, 1 day before the test but I think it helped to condense all the important stuff onto one A4. Test was....I dunno. I could answer quite a few but I had just enough time to finish all of it before my time was up. It was a computer test. So -click- last answer, Time's up!

Got plenty of stuff to do and hand in this week. I really think that for the past few weeks apart from a couple hours of fb and random stuff here and there, I have been working nonstop. The moment you clear something, you move on to the next and something new comes in. After the test, we went for final crit of our buttons. I hope mine was...ok? After that went to lunch and started working on the egg drop project. (Make a egg tray thatcan protect 4 eggs dropped from abt 1m height. So secondary sch right? lol.)

Woirked till 6 plus then went backto hall for dinner. Got distracted by ben xw and val. =( And started work at 8 plus. Only finished one pg of sketches.

Friday. Slept in with aircon. Nice. ^^ Watched webcast. Or tried to. Not much atmosphere to study at home. =( Took4 hours to finish one. 2 more to go. Shit. I still gotta do plenty of stuff. At least Mon is free. Thank goodness. I'll prolly head down to sch tmr afternoon. Gotta...take form for holidays so I can leave my stuff in my room and also do up my buttons for final presentation. AND FINISH WEBCASTS. And carve more foam.

School has been alright. Spent my time sketching and catching up on what I need to do. Managed to finish everything. I ran out of ceative juice halfway and some of my sketches look like crap but at least I finished. Tests coming up. More work to do over the weekend. After school some of us decided to stay out a bit and chill. We went down to vivo, bought Starbucks and Carl's Jr. and stayed till 11 plus.

At least we got to talk more considering we didn't speak much today. :)

It seems every single thing I do offends someone nowdays. Yeah. Fine. Fuck. Whatever. I don't care. Everybody's pissed off nowadays besides. Fix your own pissed-offness yourself. As was legendarily stated some time back, in times when friendship is defined by...what was it? MSN And Facebook? Well, in times like these, what is friendship anyways?

School was okay. Had to make changes to my presentations. I was a bit tired of it so I went to sketch stuff. I shall have to finish up my book tomorrow and try to work on more sketches. I was quite literally sick and tired so I slept in class till about 5 plus. Went to meet XW Ben and Val, went Holland V for dinner.

School today was ok. Power cut this morning. Annoying. I woke up at 9 plus. Sometimes I wonder why I stay hall. Srsly. These power trips are becoming more and more frequent and I'm paying so much for this. Was quite irritated this morning. I stayed up till 445 last night too cos someone else was. Had to wake at 9 cos it was too warm. =.= I endured till close to 10 before the power came back. Sweet relief. I was tortured by the wind rustling the trees outside BUT none of it came through my window. =.=

Went to school, put my presentation together for tomorrow's studio session. Touchedup abit on my book. Overall quite ok. Managed to finish Tuesdays' work and need a bit more for Thursday. I feel like calling in sick for touch rug. Cos my cough has retreated but mutated into a flu now. Ugh.

Looking at all the Night Cycling photos, I'm kinda glad I didn't go. Seeing all the happy faces. I'm not sue I'd be one of them. To ask someone and have them agree and then bail on you later and thennnn keep psychoing someone who didn't want to go and give up and then have them call you and say they changed their mind. Good right? Not so when a few hours later they call you to cancel. It's whatchiucall...FUCK THIS SHIT. Dulan already.

So far I've skipped cycling, DnD, and accidentally missed Halloween. So much for hall activities huh.

Things I learned from ID #1: Practice makes perfect.

Okay so I didn't learn this in ID. I learned it from (of all things) a game. Still, applies nevertheless. Tilt to Live. Mad fun. Download it and play. When I first started out it seemed really difficult. The thought of repeatedly starting over and over again from 0 to hit a new high score is a turn off. Furthermore, I kept dying at first. But the game must have some sort of narcotic in it. I kept going back to it and trying. From dying at around 10k to surpassing 1 million points, that game opened up my eyes to something.

Practice really does make perfect. Though often it doesn't happen so quickly and visibly as in that game, that display served to remind me that it can, does and will happen.

We just need to keep trying.

I think my sketches are somewhat better now. I mean, people have been complimenting me on some. But I keep saying no. Cos it's really not that great. Because I can see all the imperfections. Maybe only others are able to see the goodness in it. On Sunday they said so, but I said no, it's not that great. Until she said that mine aren't that bad and were quite nice.

And repeated it.
