Quick one. Gotta book in soon. Anyway I continued with our project today. Slept till 9 today. Lovely. Felt great. It also rained last night. Quite heavily apparently, and I totally didn't know. =( Darn. No wonder it felt so great to sleep. The knowledge that it was raining that night would surely have influenced me psychologically into a better sleep. Now I feel I didn't sleep as well as I should have with the knowledge it was raining. Lol.

Oh, went for a haircut today. Quite ok. $5 too. Need to save on money this money. Most of my pay is gone and I have 2 weeks left!!! Spent a whole load on driving, and then fell sick, + transport+ food. All the more I should keep track and cut my spending to compensate for my driving. I still hope to save some money this month still and not REALLY go in the red, while although seemingly impossible, comes scarily close with like 6 driving lessons and 5 circuit coupons.

Gosh I am surprisingly...money-minded? I suppose cos the economy is in bad times and my family is not as well off now that I keep such a tight watch on my cash. I know the value of money and how hard is it to earn. Just as importantly, I have the self-control to keep a tight-rein on my wallet. So many people seem not to have that ability today. I quite literally keep tabs on how much I spend. Because I don't have a lot in the first place and I'm paying for pretty much everything to keep the cost off my folks. Sigh. Money...you can never have too much of it. Of course you need to know what to spend on.

So Mr. Patriot. Looks like we are going to have to do your job for you. No matter. It won't be too much of a hassle. Note that we are doing your job not because you are a coward who can't and won't face up to responsibility (so you can stop acting all high and mighty.) but because we want this event to go on. You can count on me making a big ruckus over this. I want the whole world to know we are doing what is rightfully your responsibility.

We will do it. And YOU will conduct it. Enough of your feeble protests and objections. And i will blow my horn loud and long over how we had to do your work for you. I'm not afraid to do that. When you've been running away from reality for so long, i finally cannot stand it. I will make this known. So you don't drink. Ok. There's a nonalcoholic option to go along. No issue. But NOOO you still won't do it. NOBODY needs to tell you what to do, asswipe. It's UNDERSTOOD. Tradition dictates the order of the day.

Anyway did more on our project today. Xw has been looking after my fish. :) today seems really long despite it being quite interesting really. Mess boy is on leave and ops room com is broken. No internet. Damn. I hope we don't have too much to do tomorrow. Looking forward to Thurs. :)

Drove in the morning today. Was quite tired so I was woken up by my phone and fell asleep again. Left late. Arrived 10 mins late. I msged my instructor but wah he arrived 20 mins late. I had to wait. =S I dunno if he extended the time or not. Anyway I did quite a bit better today also. Must be because I got more sleep. I never attributed much to the amount of sleep I had, because I thought as long as you were awake and alert, that was it. But not enough sleep can finally really affect driving, I guess.

Oh yes, update. As per tak's wishes, anyway yesterday night the guy called to re-confirm the meet. I said I've changed my mind and said no. He being very eco-friendly reused and recycled his reasons as to why I should go. Too bad he didn't reduce them. Haha. I hit unpon a way to silence him and leapt upon it. I told him I'm not interested but but if I do feel otherwise I'll give him a call. Voila. Now you can go back to your shady slimming business and leave me alone. Rainnie, tell me more about what happened? He called my other friends too.

F1!!! I actually went to watch F1. Ok. Back to the start of my day. Went with XW to Hg to get baking supplies. Haha. Another aspiring baker. =P Met at 12, had lunch, then went to the shop to buy her stuff. Her TKD lesson was at 730, so we had plenty of time to kill. We finished at about 230. So decided to go watch Inglourious Basterds! I've been waiting to watch that.

Just nice there was a movie at 330, so we went down to Plaza and walked around trying to find a cheap domokun, but we couldn't. My sis got hers at More Than Words in Central. For like $4. =( I wanna. A small domokun to hang on my bag. Haha. Anyway, Inglourious Basterds was kinda gory but damn I liked it. I dunno how or why, but I just do. It was fun to watch. I had no idea it was 3 hours long! But it didn't feel like 3 hours.

During one of those epic literary-cinematic roadtrips like LOTR you do feel the movie working on you. It's 3-hour length, that is. For IG, when I came out, I looked at my watch. Then looked at it again. Omg. Almost 3 hours. But it managed to drag you along with it all the way through Nazi blood and gunfire and you don't feel it. We didn't have time for dinner but I think the popcorn and peanuts and drinks were quite enough.

After that went home, got online. Was going Shawn's place till I got a call from my aunt. My uncle needed to leave early for work, so they were offering me 2 free passes to tonight's F1. I jumped at the chance, and asked raye with whom I was chatting online. Anyway there was gonna be like 6 people at Shawn's place and only 1 of them could go. So I went to City Hall straightaway.

Waited quite a bit for my cousin at City Hall. Then I found out why he took so long. we had to walk ALL the way to Gate 2 to access our Flyer area. Went via Citylink Mall, and then to Marina Sq. Then was informed we need to go via the Pan Pac exit. To Millenia Walk. And follow the signs. Walked across M. Sq, out the exit to Pan Pac. Then Millenia walk. Asked a Policeman, was directed to this little back street. Wow.

Walked there, popped out at an odd place that I think is Millenia Walk, and Walked =.= all the way till we found signs. By the time we got in, it was 2230 already. Half an hour to watch. So we spent time taking pics. Then walked to the Flyer. Then walked through Millenia Walk to Suntec, and had to fight out way through the stupid roundabout. Traffic everywhere and no crossing. Then shared cab back since it was already 12. If we had boarded 4 mins later we would have missed the $5 surcharge for F1. =.=

Then went to Shawn's place. Play Wii somemore. Damn tired. Played raving rabbids. Went back, showered and slept. Woke up this morning to go Val's place to give tuition. Then went for driving. Sucked. Quite badly. I tihnk maybe I was tired or something. I shall get proper sleep tonight and try again tomorrow. Then went to return the F1 passes to my aunt's place before going home.

Oh yes. I have to go Aljunied tomorrow. Because tell me. Is it just me, or is this age period (19-20) a time when all your old friends (and also acquaintances) start crawling out of the woodwork and the deepest recesses of the sulci on your brain, and start trying to 'catch up' with their long lost friends which all leads to some involvement in some mysterious business scheme or plot.

I mean isn't it odd? After not talking to each other for the latter HALF of your lives, your primary school friends and Little Johnny with whom you once exchanged lollipops during a chance meeting at the playground below Ah Ma's place start adding you on Facebook and start discussing life. Which inevitably leads to a question along the lines of How bored are you or don't you wish you could make more money?

And the latest scheme apparently involves a slimming business. Hmm. Wow. The previous one was some unmentioned (or unmentionable?) business that involved working on the weekends to make a little extra cash. But since it's been so long, surely you don't have closer friends to do it with? Why me? You're primary school friend with whom you once (I THINK ONLY) shared a class? After we haven't spoken for 11 years you offer me some nice cool job to make cash instead of your closer friends? -Rubs chin-

Apparently because working with primary school friends is 'easier'. Easier how? When your knowledge of each other consists of who was best at catching during recess? Or who was the first one to use a swear? Very in-depth I see. Sorry. I'm suspicious, let's get that right out in the open now. You come from out of nowhere, leaving that dusty little-used cell you were stored it and start jumping on my frontal lobes going LOOK, OPPORTUNITY! LOOK, MONEY! when I don't know you that well to start with. I really don't know if I can trust you.

Anyway I'm supposed to go to Aljunied at 12 tomorrow. To meet up and discuss what the business is about. REALLY cannot discuss over the phone? I asked thrice. I only got 'slimming' and 'business'. The plot thickens. Fishier and fishier. Hmm. Oh and I have to wear smart casual. Because it's an office. Must have image. And he mentioned go interview also must wear nice. Interview? It's a job interview? I thought the original intent was to discuss IN PERSON ONLY what sort of "BUSINESS" you do that CANNOT BE DISCUSSED OVER THE PHONE.

He mentioned he's working with one of our pri sch classmates. That's ok then. NOT. He could be just dropping names as a sales tactic. I don't even know. He asked first if I do keep in contact with our old friends. I said no. Maybe he made a calculated guess. Well then, I'm posting where I'm going and when so if I don't return you all know what to do. NOT.

I don't want to go. Waste my time and money to go all the way to Aljunied to meet someone for some unmentionable business discussion and I have to wear SMART CASUAL. FOR YOU. FOR YOU SIA. YOU SURE OR NOT. This smells fishier and stinks worse than a barrelful of rotting salmon in a fishery full of rotting fish located in the port of a fishing town that has been abandoned due to a zombie apocalypse and that is why the fish is rotting and the streets stink of dead people and dead people's shit.

I'm just going to call after my driving and say no, sorry, frankly I'm not interested and I'm tired. I also have heard horror stories of people who go to some meeting and then they put you in a van and drive you around and keep persuading you till u buy their products and stuff. The only people I would listen to about any business can be counted on less than 2 hands (i.e. Still more then one lah.)

So to any prospective shadowy businessman/shady scheme dealers/mysterious plot sellers, don't hesitate to NOT call me, unless you have:
1) Contacted me for non-business, genuine purposes in the last year
2) MAINTAINED that regular contact
3) Fall within my circle of trusted people (Trust me, you probably aren't)
4) Known me for a minimum of 3 years + lots of genuine interactions MINIMUM.

OH I forgot to add, you must FULFIL ALL OF THE ABOVE. Toodles. I ought to write these 4 down in my phone so I can recite them to anyone hoping to make a quick buck.

So I booked back in at 7plus. Ugh. I watched the Illusionist with a huge bag of NTUC popcorn till 0530. Then lay in bed till 6 before I woke nad had breakfast and changed. Mistake. Argh. I wanted to make the most of my nights out but it was a mild kind of hell. I really wanted more sleep and my body was desperately crying out for it. But because I always stay up late and miss a night of sleep, I can suppress these urges. But goodness, it was quite horrible. I guess it wasn't a very smart/good thing to do.

Guess I should have listened to you, Raye. Lol. =X I went back and still had to work on our project again. Thank goodness it was only about 3 hours before we stopped to watch a short video and then back to bunk to change and prepare to book out. It was a relief to book out. I caught some shut eye on the bus. =X Then we went down to Paradiz for LAN. Not really my thing, but oh well. =/ No choice. They can't really think of much else in cohesion but LAN all the time.

Nevertheless I had quite a bit of fun I guess. I played a sniper most of the time. Freaking awesome. Heheh. Getting quite decent at it, if I daresay so myself. I managed to take down quite a few people. Nothing beats putting a bullet into someone from up to 200 metres away. And shooting them in the back. POW. Down. And shooting at other snipers through windows. And really intense sniper vs sniper battles. Epic stuff. Snipers FTW. I think it's a damn cool job. They probably don't even know what hit them.

After that, went home. Dunno why but I felt really bored. With life? Maybe it's withdrawal symptoms from all the outings I've been going on. Mine and Xw's birthdays too. =X I wasn't very hungry and ate a little only for dinner. Meh. Watch movie now?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XIWEN! She probably won't read this, but oh well. Haha. Anyways, am damn glad I took leave today, AND also asked for a little extension so I can come back on thurs morn. Damn happy. The extension is about 10 hours and it means a lot. It means I can stay at home and do this and upload pics instead of leaving early (UGH) and booking in.

Watched movie till 4am yesterday, slept till 2pm, which is surprisingly late. In some semi-sleep zone dreamlike this morning, my mother asked if I wanted breakfast from Burger King. Which I did. I promptly woke up at 2pm, with a craving for BK. True enough, there was a breakfast burger waiting for me in the kitchen. Which means the 'dream' was real. Man they should do this more often. Satisfiying my craving with exactly what it needed was wonderful. Watched TV till 3plus, and I showered and went out.

Reached Vivo at 5. Stoned at the bench till ben came. Went to Giant to get her gift. Went outside to the boardwalk to wrap them up. I sorta accidentally on purpose brought roughly just enough wrapping paper. Lol. We used up all of it and it just nice covered our gifts. In the end finished everything at about 630. Finally went to the restaurant. Lol. I staggered in with a full load while ben returned the trolley. Then they brought Xiwen in. Haha. It wasn't a super surprise cos she did suspect something but it wasn't too bad. =)

So, we had dinner at Jpot. Never bene there before but it was not too bad. Haha. There were the usual funny moments and fighting-with-cutlery moments (an increasingly common trend whenever we meet up) and xiwen running here and there. Out next outing should not involve an eating establishment. Haha. That's where the Botanic Gardens picnic comes in. I'd call dibs on the cake but maybe we should let XW try out her gifts. =P When is everyone free? Everyone bring something. =P

Anyways they soon brought out our cake. And then tak told xiwen I made it. Hahahaha. Cos I wanted to REALLY surprise her, and there you go. =P It got pretty good reviews all around so I hope it is really appreciated and not because I'm there and I made it. LOL. ANd thank goodness there was just enough for the 15 of us. The cake is a litle dense, but its quite alright if you assume it's supposed to be rich and thick. Haha!

After the usual cake-cutting , photo-taking activities, they brought the cake away to be divided up and then we brought her presents to be opened. =) So basically we got her an oven+mixer combo. =) Ben got her a personal gift of a DDR mat+PC game. Haha. Oh yes, and Adobe CS4+Illustrator. My personal gift was of course the cake! Even though it may not cost a lot, I put in effort too(thanks electric cake mixer!) =P and sweat (not INTO the cake of course!) I bake topless though. =X The kitchen, uh, can get warm at times.

Ahem. Also, XW's friends got her bracelwt that goes on your ankle which makes it an anklet. LOL. I typed that just cos it sounds funny. And a little gold(?) music box that plays Happy Birthday. Anyway it was quite a nerve-wracking to see my cake come back in little pieces. I was OMGOMGOMG what if (touch wood) blah blah you know etc. =X

Thank goodness it came out ok. Because this was the cake! THE very cake that everyone's going to eat! No retakes, no resets, no respawns, no retrials. Which was why I baked 2 cakes before I did this. I wanted to make absolutely sure I wouldn't do anything remotely disastrous to the digestive systems of 15 people and 7 complete strangers. Lol.

There I sat, watching everyone around ME eating small pieces of MY cake. It was killing me. Luckily it was quite ok. Some of them actually like it. Maybe cos I was there, but overall I think it was quite a success. =) Phew. At least no one turned purple or sprouted wings. LOL. If they did we'd know by tomorrow. After a while we all returned to our seat and soon the party dispersed.

Overall not too bad and I'm glad XW liked it but I do wish we had spent more time with her, considering I took leave for her birthday. Oh well, we did want a surprise but more time would have been better. =) Uploading pics now.

I brought some cake into camp and they said it was not bad. Yay! That's a positive sign. =) Didn't do much today, stayed in the office, and waited to book out. Was bugging the Patriot the whole day to organise this event. =.= See now, the thing is it is his responsibility to organise it because he is the youngest of our batch and he keeps shirking it. He keeps running away and avoiding it, hoping everyone will forget. And it is worked...so far. But this is where it stops. I was fully determined to make him get RIGHT to it and sort himself out.

All he does is keep quiet about it and most of the time all of us don't think about it because we have other concerns. But the thing is ALL of us want this event to be held, not just because it is fun for us, but it is also part of tradition. All he does is keep giving excuses like I haven't settled/don't know how to do the lesson plan, I need to choose 5 people (After we found the 5 youngest, he says I don't want to choose those 5 people...etc), I don't know what's the guidelines, I don't know if so-and-so is still around, tomorrow I do la. His seemingly endless array of excuses would make me a tidy sum if I had a dollar for each.

Thing is, most of them are easily solvable if you apply yourself, and not even too hard, and not physically either, of course. But NOOO, I can't do this this this this this. So he spent most of the day doing a whole variety of different things short of becoming the platoon administrative clerk and when it comes down to the end of the day after we spent any free time pestering him, he finally goes and does it. Which is, to send a one-line email. Inquiring when would be an appropriate time to discuss the organisation of the event.

Oh and he says I'm going to be one of those volunteers/participants/organisers. Hmm. So. Because I pressure you into getting off that BUTT of yours and finally submitting a one-liner email to merely give a gentle nudge to the ball that ought to be rolling, and which rolling motion is your very responsibility in the first place. I have to be 'arrowed' for that. It's ok. At least the objective is met.

You can run but you can't HIDE. A series of events are in motion. And note, when push came to shove, that single line was wholly typed by someone else and SENT by that same person. The only thing we used is your name (With you at the side.) The only contribution you made? Allowing us to use your name. Oh yes, and typing "SIR," at the top of the email. =.= Bra-VO.

Oh well, who cares? MESS INITIATION IS ON. =)

Didn't do much today. Sleeping early last night helped though. I slept at 10 plus, which is amazingly early for me on the weekends. Woke up feeling better in the morning. Still not very well, but an improvement from the night before. Went driving in the morning. My first circuit. Surprisingly, the circuit was pretty empty. Maybe because not everyone is as hardworking as me to wake up at 8AM on a Sunday so they can be at Ubi to drive by 9. In fact, I bet 8AM on Sunday is not even a time for some. To them it's probably a period of indeterminable darkness in sleep.

Nevertheless, the lack of vehicles provided for good practice and the circuit was kinda fun actually. I need to work on my parallel parking still, but I may be getting better at it. After that revised the test route once. Quite ok. Still got a few more lessons to practice. After my lesson, I went to Hougang Mall. By coincidence my dad was going there to exchange one of our baking pans (too big), so I met with him. Exchanged it, got an oven thermometer, and had breakfast. And bubble tea! ^^

Went home, rested a while and started baking again. Lowered the temp slightly with longer time. It came out okay but...still a bit odd. I'm confused. The result (large dome) seems to indicate my oven is too hot, but the oven thermometer only reads about 150 degrees? The recipe calls for 1 hour at 180. Huh. Tak, any suggestions?

Evening, went out for dinner. While browsing through the baking cookbooks, I realised something. OMG. You actually have to cut the baking paper to line the tin. Wow. OK. I just stuffed the paper into the tin. Hahahaha. Now I know how to get that 'cake' shape that, well, cakes are supposed to possess. Lol. Also if I haven't figured out the dome problem, I can just slice off the excess, which is pretty common (Although the excess is quite a bit too...)

When I came home after restocking on baking supplies, I went to work making the icing for my cake. Not too bad actually. Heh. It came out amazingly sweet, but that's probably why it's called Devil's Food Cake. Heh. And when I sliced off the dome and added the icing it looked pretty decent. All I need is to line the baking tin the correct way.

I'm sick. Feels like someone is taking a chisel to my skull. Woke up this morning not feeling hungry at all. Had stomachache just as I went out. Went home to take a dump. Then later felt nauseous and kept coughing. Felt like crapping. Nevertheless, I set out with a goal today, so I just endured it all the way. Went to Hougang Mall to buy baking supplies which I needed. Couldn't find certain items as the shop so I went to the new NTUC. Nada. Went to the old NTUC. Bingo. Whew. My mum spotted what I needed, thankfully. If we couldn't find them, obviously I couldn't make cake.

Afther that, went to Compass Pt to buy a mixer for the new oven. Then went to see doc. Despite my apparent discomfort, apparently my diagnosis is not food poisoning nor stomach flu but just stomachache, nausea, and diarrhea. Effectively she just prescribed medicine to counter each of my symptoms. Okay. I hope it works. I've been feeling better but not by much.

After I came back, it was about 2 or 3. Can't really remember. Showered and then went to sleep. Slept till 6plus. Had instant noodles and sat around until I felt up to baking. Cake's in the oven now. It is indeed quite a messy affair. Haha. Flour and cocoa powder all over the place. Thank goodness my dad was there, he helped me to clean up the mess. I was feeling quite out of sorts. Got driving tomorrow. =X I think I'd better sleep early today. Still feel kinda nauseous.

Friday, September 18, 2009

After we did our Suntec thing, we had breakfast at Mac's and I headed home to catch up on sleep. Even sleeping from 7 plus to 1245 also felt really good. I love my bed. Woke up, had breakfast and watched TV. Left the house to go to Hougang Mall Challenger to look for stuff. Wanted to look for a new PSP charger too. I msged XW, coincidentally as she finished her lesson so we decided to meet up at Vivo. Went to walk around a bit. She's having some prob with her mini laptop.

After that, we went to have dinner at Sakae Sushi buffet! Damn full now. Haha. But then it's a rare opportunity to be able to meet the buffet timing and weekday. Every time I bring camera out I never use it, and when I don't I wish I did. But originally I also went out alone, didn't expect that she would be free. Later meeting up with her and Ben again. =)

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Entering the office to sign the bookout book, K saw Captain Opinion sitting alone at a table, working on their project. Feeling kind of guilty for not being able to help out because he had his hands full with the platoon today, he decided to go over and take a look.

When his shadow fell over the table, Capt. Opinion looked up at him.

"Finally you feel like coming down?"
K didn't expect to be greeted to by quite a phrase, but he wasn't taken by surprise either. His brain was prepared for such an eventuality, considering the person in question, and past experiences.

"I'm the DS! What do you expect?! Just now I had to send them to clean the back of the company line also, I have to accompany them." K shot back. Capt. Opinion looked back at his work. He had nothing to say.

DS today. Quite a few things to do. A little not used to it. =X Considering the long intervals between DS duty and AOH, it was a little bit of a surprise. Just went about doing different tasks in succession. There was an upheaval when OC decided to come down and tour the ground. It was quite unsatisfactory and some things were faulted. Being DS, I wasn't at the scene so I don't know if the company meeting was a ploy, but if so, it was a very good one.

Anyways, after I settled everything, I went for nights out since some of the guys are staying in to look after the platoon. I went to the office to sign the book and saw Captain Opinion sitting there alone working on our project. Being DS, I was unable to go down of course, so I decided to go over and at least show my face a bit. Morning, I brought my pioneer to S2 office, then 1 pioneer had to report sick. Anyway, we were supposed to start work after lunch.

Afternoon, I brought my pioneers to the e-mart and for them to cut their hair. Once I came back, I found the aforementioned upheaval, and then of course sent them around to help out with great cleanup. After that it was about dinner time and then book out. So when I walked over to Capt. Opinion, know what he said to me? The above anecdote, of course.

I also recall that I asked the Patriot to help you out but when questioned, he said that you apparently don't need his help. I also know that you spent most of the day in the office. I have no idea what for, if you weren't working on the project and you still use that kind of phrase on me.

Please deal with it. So what if you think you can't work with the Patriot? You're 20 already. Can't you put aside your differences and get to it? I can. And haven't you said before that you're over it? What's this now? Why the insistence on getting my help even though I already said I have other primary commitments?

Then when I'm not around you don't get to work, AND also don't accept help even though it is there. I figured this might be a kind of experiment, and I didn't expect the results to be this bad. Note though that I didn't not appear on purpose, there were legitimate reasons and work to do. Are you just stubborn or what?

Gee I'm really sorry about my blog now. It seems to have become a wall of complaints. My apologies. It's just that sometimes I cannot stand their antics. Especially now we're back to work again. It is amusing to view from a certain point, but probably not from here. At most a demonstration on how people can be...people. =\ Oh well, tonight's gonna be an interesting, if not good night. Looking forward to it.
Haven blogged the last two nights. Duty on Tues, and today i'm ds. Dammit. Really not fated to sleep late this week. I was looking forward to sleeping in today morning. Crap. Mon was woken by some joker. False alarm, no run. Tues, had to wake early for duty. Wed, wake for flag raising. When i got off duty, i wanted to sleep. -looks enviously at those still in bed at 9- But duty calls. Or rather, Captain Opinion did. Literally. Went to do work. Sigh. No more sleep.

We got a few more orders for our 'products', so we need to need to meet demand. The dynamic interaction between the Captain and The Patriot is interesting to watch though if they had a better relationship maybe things could go better. They get along like a house on fire. Some screaming, some destruction, and lot of smouldering heat. Something like that.

Later i also was asked to come up with a few training scenarios. And The Patriot got in on the act too. Along with (I'd call him the Fighter but that is long behind us now.:)) The Patriot tries to help, but frankly, his ideas aren't too hot. They go over like winter in the artic. Still cold as hell, which is a funny phrase, isn't it. Of course he was put off a few times when his ideas kept getting shot down like so many paper airplanes.

I wasn't doing it to be mean of course, but really now. If they were airplanes, they were held together by spit and prayers and maybe a little paper on the side. Some of them were just silly. I don't know if this is mean or not, but some people are better certain things and some are not.

Actually the Patriot has been kind of aware of his left-outness in the production line. Which is kinda bad. So of course i try to give him some stuff to do. And he does try. It's just that his trying inevitably leads to the consternation of the Captain. Well at least it turned out ok in the end. So that's good. Although the Captain was a little miffed his plan was changed without telling him.

And yesterday the Patriot irritated me. Jeez can't you keep your opinions to yourself? Maybe YOU should be Capt. Opinion. Haha. Seriously just because you have this view doesn't mean EVERYONE shares it too. And SO WHAT if you don't like it? I don't give a rat's ass about your opinion. What's the point in telling me "it's boring"? Read. My. Lips: I don't care. The fact that i'm reading it now says that i don't find it boring, get it? For crying out loud. It's not the first time.

I still remember you dissed my books after borrowing them, saying it's not nice. You listed out the negative qualities. Since you know i went and borrowed all 7 in the series, WHAT DO YOU THINK I THINK OF THEM? That is like going to someone reading book 4 of Twilight and discussing how much it sucks with them. It made me want to slap you upside with book 7 and shove it down your throat, but it's a library book so of course, no-go. Seriously. Think. Before you go around assuming everyone shares your opinion.

I started this post to kill time and now look what i'm gone and done. Oops. Oh well. Minor thing involving the Captain (the original one) this morning.

Some try to hand me money,
they don't understand.
I'm not broke,
I'm just a...

-The Script

I'm back again. After leaving for so long it kinda sucks to be back to this same old life again. The sense of ennui pervades every facet of this existence. The familiar everything. Oh well, my respite was fun while it lasted and at least i can say i made full use of it. Still i am looking forward to that magical date 4 months into the future...when i can escape this crude mockery of a life.

What sucks the most is that when i go out with people i have to return early. I cannot enjoy myself to the fullest, nor make full use of my time. Nice way to rain on someone's parade. Wish the pay rise had come earlier. And though i know i don't have that much to complain about because my life is not that bad, it's no way to live. It's insufferable. Like bobbing for apples in a vat of boiling oil.

Didn't do much today, but still felt bored. Had no right to complain (At least we don't have to left under the sun on High for 120 mins until a golden brown, add uniform and beret if needed and serve warm) but there was that sense of being locked up. Like how a bird may hop restlessly in a cage or a dog pace the length of its chain. Our chain consists of somewhere to eat, sleep and pee. That's as far as you go, rover.

Oh my god. I just lost my whole post. And my phone's browser just crashed. I will not get mad. Nope. All the more i will want to continue blogging. Screw you.

Been sleeping really late the past few days so i'm kinda tired. Hence the lack of posts. Anyway was really irritated by a constant stream of phone calls this morning, looking for my mom. Some at 830. Some people are still ASLEEP you know. And because the phone is in my room and NO ONE wanted to answer it. I had to. Like thrice. Kept passing the phone to her, sleeping, waking to another call, repeat. I do not work at Crimsonlogic anymore and neither am i a secretary. The next time i'm sleeping at home, the phone goes to HER room when i go to bed.

Went driving, xw picked me up anewe went to NUS to pick up tak and kenneth. Went to ice3 at s'goon gardens. Had crepe. :) was quite nice. Xw went for her tkd and a while later ben joined us. Went to chomp chomp and met with val and yh. Had drinks and chicken wings. Fun with a thick bunch of straws. Ahem. Then xw joined us and we went to hk cafe. Xw used a really good trick to distract me and they brought out a Disney princesses cake. Popular design for guys. Lol.

Thought i would prefer one with a toy car though. =P Then came my gift with a note in a piggy bank. :) I ate cake off my arm. Ironic that for my birthday i visited two eateries i dislike, swensens for cheating me once and hk cafe because the founder is an arrogant prick...oh well. It was still fun. Haha.

Met ym, shawn, sixu at ps to watch Blood Ties. It was quite cool. Part horror, part thriller, part infernal affairs and part gang movie. It seems producers must have hokkien in every one of our productions to 'Singaporeanise' it. Then went to Cathay's Aston for lunch and Caramel at the building next to it for cake which was delicious and pretty. At night, went ym's place again to play 600 cards of Munchkin and supper.

Can't really remember what I did, but I did watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh, wait, I went for my driving but my teacher forgot we had a lesson so I had to go back. Rescheduled on the 10th. Then went Mambo at night. It was crazy. Didn't drink as much as I would have wanted so I had a pretty good spectator seat of the proceedings. Joel proceeded to lose himself and they managed to pressure James into drinking until he was pretty much wasted. Joel slapped people 11 times and those are the times I KNOW of. There are reports of James smacking some girl's butt, but in his defence he was unaware of his action and totally gone by the time the night was over. Still, mambo was fun. =)

Woke up surprisingly early the next day at 8plus despite reaching home at 530. Tried to sleep more. Went driving. Was ok but I did make a few messed up mistakes. =( Anyway I'm learning parking on today, the 11th. Interesting. After that I went home for a while and then met Raye at Orchard at 530. Went to the Swensens Ice Cream Buffet that was hidden away in some secret part of Ion. Strange. You can only access by using a certain lift, and it's almost like one of those hidden levels in a game. Lol.

The buffet was insane, it was so totally sinful. They probably had like 30 kinds of ice cream and 40 kinds of toppings and fondue and waffles and pancakes and brownies. Everything can just sweeten you to death. Worth going again another time. Nice place. =) I had 1 bowl with like 5 chocolate-based ice creams and 9 kinda of toppings. Lol. Then went for fondue. So rich. So cloying. After that we went for a walk around Ion, then walked to central cos I wanted to explore it. It was pretty cool. I like the interior design of the place.

[UPDATE]
Just finished watching L.A. Confidental and Se7en. Not bad. I just realised that the past 3 movies I watched all have cops involved and the first and last have a pair of them. Watched Meet Dave in the tonner and on the way home. Kinda tired now, must be from all the shit work we've been doing. Probably going to sleep earlier today. Oh well, I've sitll got the new few days to rest a bit.
[/UPDATE]

YES. I am finally free from AOH. OMG. Phew. I think I can't possiblybly write down all the stuff we encountered but it was indeed full of experiences and I can say that I don't ever want to go through it again. Yesterday when we got back to camp, we settled down and everyone didn't wanna sleep. Lol. Only slept at about 12. Woke at 8, changed and went down to PLC. Did more stores. The usual. Carried sutff here and there. Settled everything and sat down to wait. I sat on a box of plastic chains, leaned over on another bo and fell asleep. We waited for very long. I actually slept for like 40 mins. Finally we could leave at 3.

Went to Hotel to bathe. My old toilet! Haha. After that, carried a while lotta stuff and left camp. That's it. No more Pasir Laba, not if I can help it. Just nice, we waited by the side of the road and one of the $1 shuttle buses made a u-turn and came for us. How lucky. Finally something good. Took MRT back. I felt like I was seeing Compass Ppoint after a VERY long time. Got home and went online. Just had dinner. After so many days of outrations, I was blown away by the amount of food in the fridge. OMG mega-pizza! OMG cheese hotdogs! OMG unagi! OMG nuggets! Seaweed chicken! Otah!

today was quite ok. Manageable. Rested quite a bit too. It actually passed much faster compared to the first two days. No more Battle World Departure Point Counter Girl aka Wendy. :( Oh well. It's my last night here. Tomorrow will be our last day. Book out on Tues. :) Free from then till Sun. Anyone wanna go out? =X

Today was a whole lot better. A dramatic counterpoint to the events of yesterday. Yesterday felt like hell. Today was fantastic compared to it, despite the large amount of people. Maybe cause it's much easier, not having to match the schools to the buses. Just pump in buses. Managed to rest quite a bit too. Walk around some more. Watched the urban ops show. Very cool. A lot of pyrotechnics. And blanks. :)

In the evening, the surge/flood/peak/Horde came. Thankfully the buses were more than sufficient. It was quite smooth. Most of the time we used 1 or 2 queues. Today's service was excellent. The peak was us using 6 queues and people filling up as soon as we cleared. Later on, some part-timers from the bus charter company showed up with counters and clipboards to help us count.

Helped quite a bit. And they make 80 a day. Wow. I also want. Just about 3 hours for Sat? And one of them was damn cute la. AHHH. =( Wonder if the Battle World Departure Point Counter Girl will come again tomorrow. After being replaced for dinner i immediately went back to work after eating la. But she left at 7 plus. =( Maybe BWDPCG will be back tomorrow evening. Got eye candy.

I am SO taking the front part at the buses where we load people again tomorrow. =P Everyone went crazy over her. Back in our rest area out of sight of course. Arghhh. =((( AHHH! Maybe can ask her how to get such a job cos i'm interested after i ORD. Hehe. NOT. On second thought, who am i kidding? she probably wouldn't give someone like me the time of day lah. Oh well. Sucks. Look at me. I'm just some other lousy shitty nobody. Huh. Why did i even bother thinking it up? I never have luck in this kind of things. Pfft.

Damn tired. Been on my feet most of the day. At one point i stood for almost 4 hours straight. But other have it worse. Can't wait for this to be over. Do you know that you can kill someone by making them stand for up to 7 or 8 hours? It's true, i read it in a book. Met up with ben today. Saw a couple of old friends too. I had deja vu recently a couple of times. That was cool. I remember it was the first movie i watched with...tak! Haha. Referring to Deja Vu of course.

Too tired to blog. Suffice to say, today was quite the fiasco. I'm glad i'm not on the receiving end. All the same, i feel sorry for those who were.

If i feel like blogging in more detail, yesterday:
Did work at plc
Went down to Boon Lay to do more work
Stayed real late, returned real late
Slept 3 hours

Finally finished The Stand today. It was pretty cool but damn, was it thick. It lasted me several trips to PLC and i only managed to finish it today by brute force. Took almost my whole day. Haha. Went for morning run, made coffee and settled down to read. After lunch went down to plc to help out with a few others. I read in the SUV too. Wanted to buy a backpack at the gift store but left my wallet in the car. =.=

Came back and continued reading. I daresay today is a well-deserved break for all of us. Also my book can't be renewed =.= which is also why i was rushing it. If we go for nights out tomorrow i hope to be able to return it. Deadline is 1 Sept. That's soon. Hoho, another month down. And payday in a week for so.

I wish Sagittarius (omg what an insult to the star but it's an apt combination of the hunter in the sky) would clean up his act. Pun intended. Notwithstanding his already infuriating ability to be obsessed/addicted with butchering all 3712 different varieties of giant frakking lizards and getting all the medals and completing every last drop of this particular game.

The aforementioned has stirred up some resentment already. Among others too. Yet one more thing tonight. After working himself into a right sweat and lather by doing various high intensity exercises, he hangs his attire on the bed. One, i know you washed it but it's DRIPPING WET. What the hell is the dry yard for then? OMG you mean after exercising sooo much it would KILL YOU to walk 10m to hang your shirt outside. No, wait actually it's NO EFFORT at all because you can do it on the way back from the toilet! It's DRIPPING.

You're the only one to hang wet clothes in the bunk. =.= TWO, these clothes pretty much hang around the edges of my bed. Must i be surrounded by your sopping wet garments even as i sleep?

THREE, CAN YOU AT LEAST SEE WHERE YOU HANG THEM? Your shirt was touching my towel and my towel was DAMP. Goodness know how much moisture it sucked FROM YOUR SPORTS ATTIRE. WTF OK, WTF. NOT COOL. I use that to BATHE. I don't even know how well you washed it. I know you are all-powerful what with your ability to hack innumerable digital lizards to bak chor mee components (maybe not the mee bit) but could you spare a thought for others and for basic hygiene and basic courtesy? Sigh. Rant over. =)

Crushing, crashing, burning
