Didn't do much today. Watched TV. Played Restaurant City. Countless episodes of Mythbusters on my cable TV recorder. Maybe trying to book a chalet, see if I can finalise the dates. Should still be alright. Hmm. I don't think it's every. But that's only technical now, is it? It was just an innocent comment out of the blue. It was never my intention and I do think I've left you fairly well alone enough most of the time. You know as well as I do that getting on your bad side is not a place I'd willingly go.

Went zoo today! Was fun. Nearly didn't go because the weather looked bad. Luckily tak called the zoo to ask. Ben and I went down to CCK where we met up with Tak, Val, and Ber, had lunch, and then went down to the zoo. I wanted to take the boat ride! =(

But I got quite a few cool pics. Though we ended up only going at at about 2 plus which was quite late, we managed to cover quite a bit. Maybe I'll upload some on my blog. When I uploaded them onto my com, I was horrified to find that the baboons have their 'bits' hanging out very prominently...Also the facebook uploader seems to be taking forever to load. Damn. Getting irritated at the stupid thing and my internet connection.

Today was pretty hectic. Stuff for the platoon to do. We're duty platoon. CSM changeover ceremony too. Rush rush rush. Send stores. Next week is their POP. Marched the company out too. How ironic. Their first book out, I marched the whole company out. Their last book out at the end of course, I marched them out too. After, I went down to City Hall with Joel and Benmin and Anghong and Tommy for dinner. Went to Secret Recipe.

Had the $10 set meal which was not bad. Quite yummy. Helped to save money too. I bought 1 tee from Clubmarc and 1 from top man. $30 total. Quite cheap considering what I used to buy. I haven't bought clothes for a very looong time...and despite only booking out once to go home and this book out, I managed to spend 60 plus buck this week. =.= Clothes $30, Food was $17 plus, and I contributed $5 for the ceremony. Also $10 for someone's present. Also, we got this fundraiser card for AHM. =.= Min. %$12. I'm trying to save money here, HELLO. Zzz. Oh well, at least i'm going out tomorrow. Yay!

See, here's the thing. Recently, I've had this itchy rough red patch on my feet for a while. I went to see the medics and they said it was probably a rash or infection. They gave me the impression that the medical officer(MO/doctor) would give me a coupla days excused boots and medicaton. I go report sick and what does he do? Takes a look, writes up a prescription for a bottle of potassium permanganate and shoos me out of the room.

So I applied the medicine as instructed, and for a while it seemed to be almost ok. Did so for about a week. Then I reduced the no. of times I did it. (Also because of my schedule.) For just these few days. Now it's getting to be 2 weeks ago, and the itchiness has returned. It's only a small patch, but it's making it's presence felt. Apparently it's not dead yet. By gosh if they aren't gonna give me any status I'm sure as hell gonna get one from outside if this is the quality of the medical service I'm getting. They recommended I air my feet more but how the heck am I going to do that if I can't get any official status to validate it? =.=

Today was the last day of our exercise. Helped out with our force activation. Nearly got activated too. Lol. Nothing much else. Not a soul replied to my sms. Why am I not surprised. So this nights out I went home, decided to go play Restaurant City. =.= Sounds so loser. =( What to do.

Suck it, I guess. No one reads this anyway. In this modern high-tech world of super-fast communication and information overload, I'm just one guy talking to myself in my little lonely corner of the cyber highway. The electronic equivalent of a drunkard mumbling to himself at a street corner as the cars pass him by.

After my duty today I went about helping out with the pioneers POP stuff. I wrote up a script for the event (I'm the emcee =))and designed an invitation card for them. 90 copies. =) Finished everything up about 2pm and went to sleep for a while. Most people rest after duty. I finished my work first. =D It's a good feeling. Woke up, got arrowed to do a little work. Then went mess to watch some funny movie. Most likely going on nights out tomorrow night. Hope got somewhere interesting to go.

Val asked if any of us wanted to go for dinner so my spirits were lifted for a while. =) Thought I'd have a chance to go out tonight. But then, Ben and XW were not meeting up, so it's just a girls night for her and tak. Boo to me then. =( Just when I thought our schedules could finally mesh into something, =\

So, I delayed going out tomorrow and went to watch some ridiculous spoof movies in the mess and Facebook instead. No one replied my msg to see if anyone wants to go for dinner. I have a strange feeling it's a resounding NO, like it's been for the past 3 weeks. Plans on Saturday? No idea, though val did ask. Will we pull off an outing this time? Can all 5 of us make it? Does anyone reply my messages? Find out next week in the next episode of Who Wants to Go Out?

Nothing much today. Booked out early for my FTT. I passed! ^^ Yay. I tried to sneak away so as not to let anyone know. I quietly passed the camera I was holding to my friend, slipped out of the room where everyone was, went to sign the book in/out book and stealthily went up to pack my bag. I thought I'd gotten away with it. I left the stairs on the first floor, made a u-turn to go to the gate...and walked straight into my platoon. They were walking towards my block. Darn. Foiled at the last moment. How embarassing. Lol. Nothing else I guess. No plans for tonight either. This weekend too. I may go down to Ubi in the morning to register for my PDL.

K walked along the dark quiet stretch to his camp, carrying his bag. This road had been the subject of his overactive imagination every time he booked in, but this time, it was for real.

Out of nowhere, he heard a loud deep grunt. He started, and froze on the spot. Gradually he heard a low stentorian breathing, that seemed to belong to something massive. And dangerous.

He focused his weak human eyes on the murky liquid darkness of the grass patch next to him and peered hard. He made out a dark shape about 30 metres away. It's breathing was unimaginably loud.

He was acutely aware of his vulnerability, on foot, unarmed, no cover and no shelter. An open target. He did not want to run either. He walked forward a little. The shape moved parallel to him.

He stopped. It stopped. He walked forward more. The shape moved in another direction and disappeared. In a few moments, he heard the distant crashing of branches. And the Beast was gone.

Kay! Let me blog about yest. I went vivo, reached at 12. Xw was waiting for val so ben came next, at 12 plus. We decided to book tickets for Angels and Demons (Henceforth referred to as the movie)

Ben and i bought donuts, and then we went to candy empire. Xw came, and we went to Harbourfront centre. Ate at the food court.

The place was actually quite nice, but very quiet. I remember when the place first opened, it was crowded, but it seems that it has been relegated to a second class mall after vivo stole its thunder. Not that there was a lot to begin with, of course.

We decided to queue for tickets, because we wanted the safra discount. After lunch, we couldn't book online too. Managed to get centre front row, which was ok. Though it is better if it were not gv max. The bigger screen makes front row a little strained.

After the movie, walked around a while, val left us, then xw. Went home. Reached sk then realised i had a family dinner. It was around 8 then, but gv still hadn't started. Haha.

So i went down to clarke quay. It was a weird Chinese herbal restaurant situated opposite Lunar, and near The Bellini Grande. Situated amongst all the pubs and clubs. Of all the places. =.= The food was not too bad though. Haha.

Got caught in a jam, went home late, played restaurant city, went to sleep. Only got less than 2 hours of sleep. I wanted to wake up to play rc but i think i couldn't take it. Middle of the night woke up all sweating and hot and unfocused.

Came to camp this morning, and encountered the beast of Seletar. See entry above.

Still on duty. Plenty of stuff to take note. It's an exquisite punishment. The ultimate limbo. Outside and not outside. You can see outside. It's so near but you can't leave.

Furthermore, you stare at it but you know you won't be seeing it till friday. 6 days. So long. Outside, but not OUTSIDE. It's just a tiny boring little corner of the world. Imagine. Sunday. I could be outside, maybe Orchard, Vivo, with my friends.

Somewhere crowded, with lots of people. And noise and bustle. Somewhere with a LIFE. Here, i see people go in and come out. The bus comes like every 20 minutes. Maybe a couple of civilian cars from the private houses.

Makes you wonder, where are they going? What if you could find out? Where do they come from? Why are they going out? Outside but not outside.

Won't be blogging today. No time. Thanks to the SAF. Take away my weekend, take away my life, take away my education, take away my money. $80 phone bill. Quite irritated at it. It only. Not at today. Today was fine. -)

Back home. Today was alright. We had a commanders' breakfast in the mess! Prata! Hoho. Was nice after the run. Didn't do anything special today. Kinda irritated because my FTT is on the 22 of May. And of 31 days in May and over 20 specialists, they had to choose me. WHAT THE EFF. That's like a 1 in 600 chance. Frick. How friggn' suay can I get? =.= So I have to swap with one of the other 3 guys, and do Sunday instead of Friday. YAY I burn one Sunday. Goodie! WTF. HOW EFFIN' suay.

The other 2 guy are doing wekdays so they confirm won't swap w/ me cause they lose out. So just because I have my FTT on a (so I thought) unintrusive Friday evening, I get to do Guard2IC. GREAT. Someone up there must have it in for me. I sacrifice one weekend for one half-weekday. =.= Not to mention I have to take off for it. Ass. Oh well, looking forward to tomorrow. Weekend!

Kinda sleepy. Today was a way shorter day than yesterday. :) Yay for nights out. Got a few things to complain about though. =.= But i wont do it here. Not yet at least.

Feels like i'm talking to myself. I guess blogging is not the in thing now? Oh well. I shall carry on my mundane entries here till the random chance someone tags me.

Cannot wait for this weekend. :) Tomorrow is friday! And another week will have passed. Haha. My toe hurts. I think it's an ingrown toenail or whatever. Don't feel like running tomorrow. =/

Going out with raye was quite good. Finally got away from camp. Been quite a week. Went around tamp, had fries and sundaes at macs.

I woke up really late today. Wonder why i was so tired. I slept at 130 or so and woke at 230pm. There goes half my day. Watched tv. Read World War Z, very interesting. Almost couldn't stop. Haha.

IPPT tomorrow. I'm afraid. :( My running is not good. Thing is, i MUST pass if i want to go out with my friends next week. Else i will have to come back on Sat. =.= But i haven run in a very long time.

Today, I sat at home, played my iTunes, and read Chuck Palahniuk's Choke. I Facebooked, and blogged. Ah! Time for Bleach. Nearly forgot. I wanna go out tomorrow. Don't waste my off! =\

Yesterday was fun. Weirdly last minute and random but fun. =) I went out in the morning to head over to Ym's house to get some stuff from him, and then to Orchard. I was to spend my $20 Borders voucher. ^^ And he wanted to buy stuff from Kino. Obvious choice, Orchard. So, When I went out I momentarily considered bringing my camera, but dismissed the thought because I didn't know if I'd be meeting with anyone. =(

At the bus-stop, ben msged me saying he was meeting XW at Vivo, 4. =X Went down to Orchard, bought World War Z: An oral history of the zombie war. Heheh. Saw Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. o_O LOL. Then we went to Kino, bought books, and then couldn't find an empty spot at any of the city's Starbucks. Students. =.= LOL. So we went to PS and TCC. (Starbuck's was full; more students.) Had chocolate and dessert. Yum. Then went to find Ben and XW.

As I took the train, I found that my MP3 which I hadn't listened to in a while chose that particular moment to die on me. Pfft. Just when I need my music. Venue waschaged, so I met them at Suntec at 5. Considered watching a movie. Went to play arcade. Tak came to join us! Val wanted to eat durian later. XW left for some family dinner. =(

We went with her to Parkway Parade and had dinner. Japanese. Then got a ride in Val's parents' car to get durians and then to ECP. (Tak's suggestion) The moon was amazingly bright; you could see your shadows on the sand. It was a nice place. Val said I once told her the lights on the horizon are the stars that have fallen into the sea. I forgot I said that already. Itdoes seem kinda nice. =) Ben left later, and the 3 of us crashed at val's place. Well, val doesn't have to crash because it's HER place, but you get the point. =D lol.

Woke up in the morning, took the Parkway shuttle bus back. And throughout all this I didn't have my camera. =( Oh well, there's at least next week to look forward to! =) Oh and I saw the pics val class took at Marina barrage. SO NICE. I knew it! I wanted to go there or veryyyyy long le. Can we? =D

Back home. Did not do much today. Though the rain this morning came only after the parade, it was a welcome respite from the unforgiving heat of the recent days. The weather has been swinging from two extremes like someone with bipolar disorder. The bipolar in this case referring to the melting polar caps. Ha-ha. Stormy rain in the early morning and humid afternoons and evenings. =\

Glad to book out today. However I have nothing to do at home. Bored. It's only 9:19PM. Jeez. Sigh. =\ Have to wait till next week I guess. Rar. =( Seems like a long way away. You know the funny thing? My date to ORD seems to be flying towards me, and yet I wait for what seems like half of forever just to go out with my friends. =.= Sigh.

What a day to be dp. Pretty tiring. I got sunburnt. Stupid weather. I had to walk around the parade square 4 times for their 1 because i had to guide them around.

Brought them around the stations. Using comms was fun. Day ended late. =/ Looking forward to tomorrow, friday! And everyone's exams are finally over! Yay!

Too bad we still have to wait till next week so that's another stupid week wasted doing pointless stuff and waiting for time to pass like all the innumerable other weeks before it. :(

Nothing much today. Did cft. Rained nicely in the morning but it was damn hot after. Weather's going crazy. Tiring day too. Lot of people left for nights out and left 5 of us to close down 5 tonners for conventional equipment. Including 1 pc. DS tomorrow. I'd like morning rain please. :)

Hmph. Nothing much today. Spent my time at home watching television for hours on end. I forgot to siwtch off my aircon last night. =.= That was my day. Read Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. Nothing interesting. Maybe watch a movie on my laptop later. Try out the new speakers. Haha.

On a side note, Youtube removed the audio on two of my videos because I was using songs. SNIPPETS of songs, mind you. Kinda like slightly more than those cheapo 30 secs preview you get on most sites nowadays. WHAT THE HELL. Corporate assholes. That totally ruins everything. Idiots. For that I curse all to go bust. No point in anyone uploading videos accompanied by music now is there, if you're gonna remove audio. Absolutely retarded. Lousy shits.

Nothing much since I came back. Spent all my time online. I got a new radio cos my mum wants to use the old one to play her CDs. Ok I guess. Haha. Lazy to take pics. Nothing much else.

Bah. What a day. Was called at 12AM to return by 7AM. I came home, slept at 0330, woke at 0530. Strange fevered dreams because my phone woke up up with memos I set to myself. Have no idea why they went off =.= So I woke up twice, and the phone kept vibrating beneath my pillow, contributing to a dream that involved drilling and murders. Must be my serial killer novel. Haha.

Anyways, I woke up, had something light, and went down. Smart 4. Sigh. Then went to the office and called my guys to go for a vaccine jab. In response to the new state of orange alert because of the swine flu. Drastic measure will be taken. We don't really have much to be worried about though. Our gas masks totally pwn those paper ones. LOL. I kid.

Anyway, someone went to buy breakfast, and then went off to direct our guys to the medical centre at another camp. Spent like over 3 hours there at the canteen, from 10 to 130, driecting them. All those cool refreashing drinks locked away behind glass. Argh. And the weather so warm. Thank goodness I brought a book. Rawr. And I didn't bring a bag so I booked out in another No. 4 =.= And carried my stuff home in an old plastic bag. Zzz. Everyone was pissed off and tired at the end of it all.

Also, I left my stuff in my PS' car and if I had transferred it to QY's car I could have left earlier. =( Haven't eaten anything since 9, but still alright I guess. Not that hungry. Just damn sian of today. Bleah. Wonder if there's anywhere to go tonight...

OMG my internet is freakingggg slowwww. Sigh. Stupid. The internet at my house is cursed. Also have problems. Sigh. I can't be bothered. Today was ok. PT was itring, but I haven't done high-intensity sutff in a while so it was good. Went to Parliament House, which was pretty much the same thing I did in secondary school. Normal. Went to eat dim sum at bugis side with some of the guys. Went home, changed and rushed down to J8. $10 cab. @#$%...

Xmen was nice. Not bad show. Quite liked it. Tak called, and I nearly went to find her but then in the end we didn't. =[ Next time? =) So me, and the usual Shawn, YM, and the twins delibarated for a really looooong time in the car before heading to Clarke Quay's Cafe Iguana. Just had something light and something to drink. They paid me a lot of cash in change. =.=

YM accidentally dislocated a bit of his dad's car's bumper because it was pretty big, trying to make a tight u-turn. =X And I gotta book in by 7AM tomorrow for osme swine flu thing. Sigh.
