[UPDATE]
OMG its really interesting how much stuff you can come across while pottering around Facebook at 3AM in the morning. I came across this really sad story (google "My last post as an NSF") dunno if its true or not but it was nice to read, and the part that made me do a double take was that the guy mentioned MJ in one of the later lines. o_O Go see. Also came across a funny link describing how shit flows down the ranks.
I also came across a photo in the SISPEC group uploaded by a guy who was my platoon mate. Why was it interesting, because it was epic COOL. He has the most AMAZING drawing talent and his photo was a montage of his drawing book and all his great sketches and i actually held that book in my hands before and admired his art and now it's covered with more cool stuff including his stint in taiwan. When I first saw it I was like OMG ITS HIM! and then OMG I HELD THAT BOOK BEFORE! COOL!
[UPDATE]
Went out with my army friends today. Joel was supposed to have informed me what time to meet, but apparently, he didn't save my number and hence didn't inform me. Outstanding for someone who has slept beside my bed for the past 3 months, taken the bus home with me several times, ran into me on the bus to camp a few times, shared the same car ride with me often, and will be working with me for the next 11 months. So I woke at 1130, asked Anghong why Joel didn't inform me about anything and Joel called me shortly. =.=
I arrived at 1325. 4 people were there. The other came even later. Joel was last! Haha. Apparently he had something on before. So...with Ziliang, Eric, Kelvin, Angyun, Michael, Dylan, Renkai, and Joel, we went to this building (I dunno the name but it's near bugis and has a lot of tiny model shops) to have dim sum. It was not bad. Haha. 9 of us split into 3 groups and the 3 of us (Me, Joel, Renkai) ordered 10 dishes, for which we paid about $12 each. Not bad. I seem to be going to a lot of new places to eat good food recently. I still can't get over the Chicken burger at The Tavern. It was GOOD. =P
Later we went to the Cathay and watched Marley and Me. It was NICEEE. I wouldn't mind watching it again with others. I borrowed the book from my sister a few months back, I recall. Later some of the others left, and I went to walk around PS with Ziliang, Angyun, and Dylan. Everywhere was crowded, so we went to MOS burger. It's a total rip-off but somehow people still eat there. It's expensive and the portions are more suitable for hobbits, but people still go there. Puzzles me.
Well, we originally wanted to go Carl's Junior, where the portions are more suited to the prices (for your average obese american) but it was packed. MOS had not much of a queue. (No prizes for guessing why, ha-ha) Went there, 4 of us sat at a 2 pax table to wait for 2 people at a 4 people table. Why? Apparently because their umbrella wanted to sit on the chair too. They slowly polished off they fries, before one took a pack of like 200 tissues (the size of a tissue box but half the size and plastic) and they slowly wrapped the exterior of their drink cups with 2 layers of tissue paper before moving off.
I had the new burger they were advertising, and I realised what a great stunt they had pulled. It was fantastic. In the poster, the burger was depicted as two rice patties with a thick, juicy, CYLINDER of chicken, egg and onion in the middle. Well, here's a suggestion. You guys should put "Warning: Actual product may vary!" or "Warning: Simulation only!" or "Warning: Some disappointment in burger!" because when I got my burger it looked nice and yummy and thick, and I was fooled for a few minutes.
Then I realised something. My burger's patty was V-shaped. The entire burger is V-shaped. The patty on topside was about an inch thick, and from then on it gently tapered to a edge a few millimetres thin. WOW. Great job. Yes, it tasted good. Yes it WAS juicy, and yes, it was hot. But it's still a ripoff. It doesn't look as advertised. I think you're the only chain to pull this kinda stunt on its customers.
And what's with your meals? Eh? A $3.70 meal almost DOUBLES in price to $6.95 with fries and a drink. What? A regular (small-ish =.=) coke and a small pack of fries costs $3.30? Even with similar prices at Macs, you feel the pinch more here. Anyways, after the meal we left, and I probably won't be going to YM's place tonight I guess. Raining heavily. I like it when it rains at night.
Musing, rants and observations from life around me. May contain a lack of verisimilitude.

This week has been alright I guess. It felt REALLLY long, for some reason, even though I missed Monday. It took ages before I finally hit Friday night. They changed the bunk arrangement. To be honest, I preferred the old one a lot more than this. It's not about the people (Well okay, maybe SOME) but mostly about the interaction. I could just click well with those previously, y'know what I mean?
But now it's a whole different ballgame and those wonderful people are now downstairs. I guess you could say the fun has been taken out of the bunk. I foresee most of my time will be practicing guitar (when I get one) or sleeping or PSPing. The atmosphere is just different. Oh, and Nicholas' guitar broke. =( It was over tuned and the tension in the springs just ripped the bridge off the guitar body and the guitar went bye-bye. I feel kinda guilty because I was practicing on it quite a bit. So here I am in a bunk less the delightful company and less one guitar. Which is why I think about getting my own.
Anyways, Tuesday we went to MFM at Bishan to celebrate Kian Wee's birthday and they made him stand on the chair. We later manhandled him to the sink back in camp and splashed water on him. Haha. Today, basically cleaned most ot the 4th storey. Nothing much else. I just came back from supper at Wala Wala at Holland V with the guys. It was quite a nice place. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. Slipped my mind. I had a Singapore Sling. We ordered Pizza, mixed grilled sausages, chicken wings, escargot, and fries. Was quite nice.
As for tomorrow, might be going lunch+movie with some army friends and then probably off to YM's house in the evening as we've gotten an invitation from his father to "help" finish off a small keg of Heineken...=X

Still sick. Little lethargic, little short of breath. I'm starting to think that the flu vaccine was a flu virus. They must've mixed up the bottles. LOL. Since day one, my nose has been bleeding a little, I don't know from what. Maybe the constant sniffing and blowing. The output is...well, let's not go there. I feel almost guilty at the amount of tissue paper I've been using. Feel damn sian hat having to book in.
I don't feel in the mood to be pulling on a pair of jeans and walking 1.2km to camp. I just wanna rest at home.Didn't do much today. Had myself a nice long rest, and watched Fast Food Nation on cable. It was quite a nice movie, if a little depressing at the end. I was quite surprised to see Avril Lavigne in it. o_O Anyway, not doing much not either. Still coughing. Dreading book in. My bag is big and heavy.
[UPDATE]
I think I just saw a plane break the sound barrier. I heard the roar of a jet, and a couple secs later saw the flare and bright glow of 2 orbs in the night sky, which soon dimmed and shrank to the standard flashing aircraft lights. Afterburner?

[UPDATE]
Looks like the SAF's flu vaccine was a little too strong for me. Must be military-grade stuff. My eyes feel like they just had a good cry, the fluid in my nose is in a constant battle against gravity, and I'm coughing every few minutes. Anyway, I finally decided to go and see the doctor and got one day off for tomorrow.
[UPDATE]
I'm back. Went out drinking with the guys last night. LOL. It sounds bad when I put it that way. Anyway, flu, cough, runny nose, sore throat. Went over to YM's place, then went over to The Cavern, a sports bar/restaurant in the middle of the residential estate. The food is quite nice there. Tak, maybe when you return to Kovan one day we can go there for dinner. =D (It sounds you've gone off to a faraway land. Lol!)
I had the Chicken Burger which was very tasty and crispy and the serving was not too bad either. However, I ordered at $25 Terminator which tasted quite bad. I probably shouldn't have downed like 1/3 of it on an empty stomach, especially when I was ill. After finishing it I started to feel very sleepy.
So Shawn YM and Sixu proceeded with 6 shots of Sex On The Beach each. We then proceeded back to his house. I played with his brother's guitar. Shawn went to play Silkroad. Then went up to YM's room where we attempted to play along to some songs, him with his drum set and me with his bro's guitar.
Stayed over till morning, left and had KFC for breakfast. On second thought, with my flu and sore throat and cough, I really shouldn't have had a breakfast consisting of ice Milo, toasted biscuits, honey, salt, pepper, and of all things, fried chicken...
[UPDATE]
This is very amusing. I feel like some impoverished child. Because I don't have a guitar, I practice on others' in camp, and when I book out, I scour the net for resources and information which I make note of and bring in to practice on. It makes me feel like someone whose parents can't pay school fees trying to scrounge out an education in bits and pieces.

Falling ill! =( SAF smart. Give us flu vaccination on Friday. Then all fall slightly ill and recover by Mon for run. Rar. Haha. Went bowling this morning with Michael, Angyun and Renkai. At Farrer Park, Civil Service Club. I sucked quite a bit. =( Haven't played for too long. After that we went to PS. Had lunch at KFC. Yes, all the while dragging our bowling bags around. Walked around a bit, went to Yamaha.
They wanted to watch He's Just Not That Into You but well, I Just Wasn't That Into It. LOL. Anyway the show was selling out so we didn't. I wasn't exactly keen on spending 8 bucks on a show I wasn't very interested in, much less watching it with 3 guys. It's just a different kind of film from, say, P.S I Love You. That, I wouldn't mind.
Afterwards just went for a haircut and went home and watched TV for a few hours. Going out later.

Bored. Doing nothing much now. Today was nothing special. Didn't do much. Yet another week has ended. Yay. One week closer to my pay and one week closer to ORD. Nothing else to do online, and nothing to do. Wish I could go out. Going out on Fridays always makes my weekends feel a whole day longer. But I've said that before.
Cleared my mail. Facebooked. Been practicing guitar. Watching Youtube videos on guitar. Looking at guitar tabs. Looking at guitar chords. Memorised guitar tabs. Memorised guitar chords. Memorised strumming patterns. I've gotten the hang of a bit of Green Day's Good Riddance (Needs practice) and Wake Me Up When September Ends (Needs practice and clarification on chords). Learnt the intro of Jay Chou's 晴天(Need to figure out the strumming). Who wants to hear? =D Cool huh.
Finding new stuff and trying to play it keeps up the interest in me. I may just get a guitar yet. Classical or Acoustic? Acoustic sounds different and the neck is thinner, but I've always been playing on classicals, and my fingers may need to adapt to the acoustic. I've only just adapted to not touching the other strings on the (thicker) classical. Hmm. Maybe I'll need XW's help.
I've also been thinking, let's scrap the Creative speakers. Get together one weekend and XW can help me pick a guitar. Everyone can write their names on and sign it in silver marker. ^^ Let's go for lunch. Maybe dinner too. Saturday anyone? =)

Back! I had my ATP this week, Advanced Trainfire Package. Was alright I guess. I flunked out the first day during the practice. Jeez. But it was different the next day, thank goodness. Firing the the rifle seems easier every time I go for a shoot. The second day I did much better but somehow I messed up during the second stage. =( I shot at the target and saw the plume of smoke from the sand at the end behind the target but the target didn't go down...
Then during the night shoot, my rifle jammed. Not once but twice. DAMN. I was very pissed off. From needing just 3 shots to pass, I STILL needed 1 shot to pass and I missed 7 targets. Becuase the rifles jammed TWICE so BADLY I had to use my SOG pliers to pry the damn cartridges out, which wasted a lot of time. Whereas on my first day, I cleared my single jam so effectively and quickly (the rounds could be ejected without any fuss or pliers) the onlookers were impressed.
In the end I passed of course, but still very disgruntled over the jamming of the rifle. On Wed after our shoot we had to wake up early in the morning to set up IPPT for those taking. =\ Then after we were all back, eaten and bathed and just settling down torest, someone told us to do area cleaning. RAR. Must be on purpose. Waited till everyone was settling down.
Cleaned up and went back to bunk. We had nights out! Went to AMK hub with the guys to watch Valkyrie. Paid $3.10 for a bottle of A&W Root Beer. WHAT THE HECK. $1.50 is cheap. $2.00 is okay. $2.50 is annoying but alright. $3.10 is OVERSTEPPING IT. I've heard of hyperinflation but this is RIDICULOUS. The economy is not even that bad yet!!! IT'S INSANE. I could've just gone to the Cheers and bought a similar bottle.
This is sheer unadulterated PROFITEERING. LISTEN UP ALL, DO NOT BUY DRINKS OR FOOD FROM THE SMALL COUNTER AT AMK HUB CATHAY CINEPLEX. BRING IN YOUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS. $3.10 FOR A ROOT BEER? And it's just A&W, mind you. I wonder if anyone has had the same complaints or not. I treasured that bottle so much I slowly drank it till it lasted the whole darn movie.
Ranting aside, Valkyrie is s very good film . I liked it a lot. It's damn interesting and the plot is solid. Acting was good too, very suspenseful and gripping. Probably wouldn't mind watching it again with others. Seems like I've been watching plenty of good movies lately. Even though you know history says otherwise, you can't help but hope from the plot to succeed; they make it seem so feasible and so likely. Today, just did my lesson plans, collected my permanent camp pass. Nothing much else.

Ah. What a Valentine's Day. It was kinda crappy actually. Spent most of the day on Facebook and watching random vids on Youtube. At night, went over to YM's house to cycle. Very tired. Haven't been cycling for so long, and my bike is pretty messed up after all the travelling. Furthermore, I found my bike with some damages.
Went there and discovered the headlight had come loose because the rubber fell off. Front wheel was worn smooth. The air nozzle had lost its cap. Brakes worn. Was kinda irritated. Was quite a route we took. Passed by tak's place! But she wasn't home. Then around the centre of Singapore. Very very tiring. I lagged behind most of the time. In the end all I wanted to do was to get home quick and sleep.
Reached his place at 7, reached home 8 , slept till 2pm. While I slept people kept msging me. RAR. Of all the times to message, when I'm sleeping. My phone was pretty silent last night. But then again, who am I to blame them if they don't message me in the wee hours of the night but in the afternoon when I am still sleeping? LOL.
Oh and I saw a guitar! Cycling by Clementi, I saw an old woman collecting trash. Cans, cardboard, newspapers. Then I passed by a trolley with a GUITAR! But my friends say it looks cui. But it didn't appear to have any damages. =[ All strings intact, no holes. I wanted to ask her if I could have it. But I was cycling...
All the same, it makes me wonder is it really cui, or in ok condition. It brings to mind stories of people discovering expensive works of art or paintings in old attics. But why would someone throw a guitar away? There are stories ranging towards the supernatural side too, regarding possesions of those long gone. =S I wonder what is the story of the guitar...and if I should have tried to take a look at in.

I just watched Slumdog Millionaire. It's not too bad. Quite an interesting show ba. Haha. Booked in today afternoon. went for the shoot. Think I did ok ba. Should have passed. After that, went back to camp change and then went to PS with quite a few of the rest. Had a late lunch at the Cathay at Aston's Express. Food was not bad. Went to play LAN at Paradiz.
Decided to try Left 4 Dead. Quite fun. Haha. We got owned, but that was because we didn't really know how to use zombies but the other team had an experienced player. Played till like 8 plus, then went home. Bathed, changed and left to go to YM's place to watch the movie. The twins pangsehed us again...so I decided to try and call my friends to see if anyone wanted to take the seat. No one. =\ Oh well.
Dunno what I'll be doing tomorrow though. Probably sleeping or stoning at home. Go cycling at night?

Back. Back and burnt. The outfield training was scorching. I'm blistered and burnt. Blisters from digging a big hole. I put in a a lot of work because I have a personal grudge against digging. Ironic, yes I know. Hated shellscrape during BMT. But now I had the power of 9 3SGs behind me to dig this mega hole. Muahaha. I ended up with 4 blisters. Lol. =.=
Burnt because we spent pretty much the whole of 2 days in an open field under the hot sun. Even in the jungle at least you have foliage. This was an open field in the midday heat. Thank goodness we were in PT kit. I have horrible tan lines from the engineer PT singlet. =\ And am pretty much sunburnt. One day out there is worse than a day at Sentosa. My skin hurts.
Furthermore on Wed, it rained in the evening. First scorching heat then a storm. Good thing, the training was cut. Bad thing, we all went and took shelter inside the tonner. My first time hiding from the rain in a tonner. Later, someone ran to bring us our out-rations. Dinner. It was a turn-off at first, but I was hungry. First time I had a meal in a tonner. It was cramped, stuffy, and dark. I could hardly see my food.
It was a relief when we finally rolled up the flaps but we got our hands dirty (actually they were kinda dirty already) from all the muck and grime. Then we got down and walked in a drizzle to go through what we just did. It was a relief just to bathe at the end of the day. Today was better, but as hot too. It was wonderful to finally wrap up the whole thing. OH and we had Safety day. There was a story-telling competition.
I was arrowed by my PC to do it, so I did. It was something funny about a durian dropping on someone's head and I just winged it. LOL. It was a little cocked up and messy but I did it on the spot. At least it was funny. =D Lol. Bravo stories damn funny lah hahaha. And I got 3rd place. Lol. I supposed I coulda put in more effort but it's not too bad for an impromptu thing. $20 Borders voucher. ^^ I will buy my PC a drink one day. =P
Anyway I book out today but need to return tomorrow afternoon to go shoot 'arcade'/play LAN...=.= Army shooting simulator. I wanted to go for the run but then wanted more people to go for the shoot. DAMN. So...no esplanade run. =( Rar.

Didn't do much. Duty, just slept. Omg. I felt like a pet. Wake up when someone brings me food. Couldn't sleep in the morning, just lay there. Finally fell asleep, and then woke up when the CDS brought lunch in. Crawled outta bed, ate and went back to sleep. Then dinner came. Crawled outta bed, and ate too. Den went back to the bed and played my PSP a while. Did my duties and went back to sleep more.
Oh I watched a really nice movie on Okto. It was called Sophie Scholl. I was watching via antenna and the subtitles were pretty fuzzy, but it's about the story of this student who tried to spread resistance against the Nazis in Germany during the war and her trial after she was arrested. It was a very good film.
Morning handed over duty, and went to attend lectures on conventional. Our package started today. =S Hope tomorrow won't be too tough. No more nights out, till Thurs I guess. Oh well, since I booked in Sun and am able to leave on Thur, it's not much of a loss. Had surprise nights out today. Haha.
Apparently because today is yuan xiao jie, we're supposed to eat tang yuan. So, we managed to get nights out from higher up, and we went down to Jalan Kayu to eat tang yuan at the Selegie Soya Bean store. My bus arrived as we left so I ran for it. Birdshit dropped on JJ. LOL. Lucky never kena his tang yuan. Arrived home at 8.
Anyways ,my interest in guitar is cooling down. I need to practice more ba. =( Lol. But I'm not as excited as before. Slowly I guess.

Today's dinner was ok. Costa Sands Sentosa. The room are pitifully small, 2 single beds, a fridge and TV and toilet. $191 for 2 nights. On the other hand, there is the budget alternative. The enchanting ambience and thrills of a small "kampong hut", which is a small air conditioned box(foreign worker accomodation), really. 2 bunk beds, a common toilet, all for the low low price of $50 a night! I think the only major drawback is the common toilet. Other than that it's a nice place to hold a cheap small chalet for a few people. Comes with BBQ pit and benches attached but some booking required.
Caterer came around 7, ate then talked. My 15 yr old cousin brought his girlfriend along too. Lol. We all went down to the beach to look for a bball court. Played with sand. Covered my younger cousins' feet in sand and then turned it into a HUGE sand turtle they could sit on. Took pics on it. My cousin went on the classic "long walk on the beach". =P Oh someone was having their wedding at the pavilion. It looks like a really nice place. I attended a wedding there once too. Seaview and all. Maybe I will have mine there one day. HAHA.

"You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go."
-Captain Mike, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Came home at 350 today. Went over to YM's house and got a rid over to Bishan where we met up with Siwei and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was a very nice show. I can see why it had 13 Oscar nominations. The plot is very interesting and well-done and the effects were pretty outstanding. It keeps you entertained for over 2 hours, and at the end what you realise is that you've pretty much sat through another person's life because it seems so long and yet you didn't notice it then because the story is so compelling.
One thing I didn't get was the storyline of (not giving away any spoilers) the clock in the train station and how it affected the circumstances of Benjamin Button's birth. =S Another thing is that while I probably wouldn't mind watching it again with other friends, the length of the film does give one pause for thought. Because it is SO long, and the fact that the film is not very fast-paced but rather, "ages" subtly, a second viewing may make it seem even longer. But overall it is really a good movie that is this season's must watch.
After that, we had...supper(?) at Kovan macs before YM sent us home in his dad's car. I like Kovan macs. If they ever filmed a reverse Benjamin Button style film about my life, quite a bit of it would involve Kovan macs. It was where I went as a kid for breakfast when I went to Kovan with my parents. It was where I pretty much spent most of my time studying for the 'A's with tak. It's also where I had breakfast with my friends after our overnight marathon cycling events. Plus its one of the few Macdonalds with a toilet. Lol.
Oh, this Friday I started practicing guitar. it's fun! Maybe if I keep the interest up, I might get one too. Been practicing all the chords. My fingertips are sore form all the pressing but it's a good hurt. Now they itch to practice more. I wanna try and learn...and I wanna practice so much. Gives me something new to do. =D
Oh. Yes. I have a bit of a problem. Ok, a really big problem. Since uni holiday is December, and if we are planning to go on holiday then, I'm not sure I can make it. The odds are REALLY slim. Because my company will be turning operational by then. I don't know if they will make me clear leave because I'm ORDing soon (if they force us I won't have oversea leave!) and I don't know if the company can afford to lose one person during his period because if they can't they won't let me go. So I don't know how likely is it for me to leave. Aren't there any other holidays? =S

I'm back home again. Booked out early today. Went home straight. =P Thought I don't quite know what to do. Probably go watch anime. See if I can go out tonight. Sunday gotta go back for duty. Oh I forgot to mention, I did a good deed the other day! There was this bird stuck in the drying area, and my friend came out and was startled by something large hitting the walls and thumping around.
I was about to go to the toilet, so when I came out, I tried to chase it back out. It was unlike anything I had seen before. It was a brown and white speckled bird, not unlike Pidgey on Pokemon. It didn't chirp or tweet with either. It made a harsh RAWWWH noise, which is why I could say it 'roared' at me. It had a pretty darn big and wide mouth that looked like it could take away a sizeable chunk of your hand, which was why I didn't try to touch it.
Turning off the lights would calm it down (It was probably nocturnal) but it would just sit there. When I tried to scare it out it roared right back at me again. Later on my friend came and saw it, so together we managed to make it fly back into the corridor and then out into the dark trees again. =) Didn't do much else today, just cleaned up the place some.

Back home today. Didn't do much this week. Moved some more mattresses. Haha. Carried some REALLY heavy and big pieces of equipment. I felt like I was trying to build Gundam robots by hand. It was like moving Lego pieces, except you've been shrunk and the pieces are half your size. =X Played my PSP. Hacked a rock covered dragon to death using of all things, a sword. It kept bouncing off and I used up all my potions. Lol.
Went to AMK with some of the guys for a change. Didn't do much though...no movie. Only dinner. Maybe I'm better off going home. Save money too. =D Lol. So decided to come home as usual today. Anyway the week is ending soon too. Hoho. Got a family bbq at Sentosa (well actually, there's catered food) but I've got duty on Sunday. =( Oh well, at least I'm the orderly. =P Don't have to do that much. And it's the only duty next month. So I'll be done with it soon!
Next week, Feb 10 will mark 1 year to ORD! Feb 12 is Happy Hour for the battalion. Feb 13 out-camp run. So I can go home on the 12th. =D And most likely I'll be free on the 13th around afternoon once the run ends. Early weekend! Anyone wanna go out? And I think tomorrow is company cohesion, so we'll be leaving early too. =D Apart from that, there is nothing significant ba.

VROOM. Yes. Haha I went to register for my BTT today. Took the first step towards acquiring my license. 7 March! Somehow noone wanted the 915 slot on Saturday, so I took it. =) And the 805 e-trial slot. Sometimes, waking up early does have its advantages. =P So not too long, just about 1 month. Anyway, reached home at 9am. Ate a bit and read the papers. 10am. Went to sleep till 11 plus, and woke up and got changed to go out. Will post pics too, but it's not the full set. For everything, go to FB. =P

Met Taky at GV and then got tickets to The Wedding Game. Was not bad. Haha. After that, walked around a bit, and got ice cream at the now endangered Ben and Jerry's shop. (=.=) And she took the BnJ stickers after I suggested she use them on her laptop. =P Went to watch a dragon cum lion dance performance and she ran out of space recording on her camera. So I have one video of it.
After that we found it was near 5, so we rushed to Giant and bought food and rushed to the MRT. Gamed on the train. Alighted and decided to walk to Val's place. It was quite a fun walk. =) There were a lot of animals. Somehow we thought Lorong K was right and walked down the WHOLE Lorong and didn't see it, though we saw several nice cars.

Then we called val to find out that it was actually Lorong L. So we switched Lorongs(haha!) and went all the was back up and finally got to her place. waited outside for val to appear with (Surprise, surprise!) surprise guest Ben. Went in to bai nian and had our steamboat. XW joined us later. After dinner we just played our various entertainment devices, so opposed to gambling. Lol. Then we watched Ip Man. It's quite nice actually. Wish I had had the chance to see it in theatres. Would have been nicer to experience.

Then we all left for home. XW offered to borrow her cousin's car to send us home. Thing is, the transponder/remote was probably low on battery. The car wouldn't unlock. Everyone who we told of our predicament told us to use the key. Thing is, it's not unlocked...so the car will start screaming blue murder. Sure enough, she used the key and...WEEEEWOOOO WEEEEWOOOO WEEEEWOOOO WEEEEWOOOO WEEEEWOOOO. We got in.
"Drive drive drive!" The alarm stopped. A few seconds later, it started up again. Well, I can't help but say this. If you want a literal definition of the hokkien vulgarity kao bei kao bu (cry father cry mother), go steal a car. LOL. Seriously. It's virtually impossable to make a proper getaway when your vehicle is screaming HELP IM BEING STOLEN SOMEBODY STOP THE PEOPLE INSIDE ME before it has even left the carpark. Unless you can cut some right wires, movie-style.
We went a around the lots once and parked the car. It stopped its bawling soon as we all got out and locked it. We saw some uncle walk in front and then away with a cellphone. Maybe he was calling the cops. Lol. Ben and I sent XW home and then shared a cab back. Oh, and I called my friends who I was supposed to meet at Geylang gfor supper. Apparently they were almost stuck there because it seemed like the battery was dead. LOL. Somehow they managed to get it going down to bugis later.
