This week was alright. Didn't go and use the com though. Wed, didn't really do much. Stayed in bunk. Thurs I had duty. Was alright. Been awhile since I last did (On New Year's Day) Just did all the usual stuff. Read magazines. But still took a while to fall asleep. The green EXIT sign light was next to me. Kinda tired today. Simply gave up and fell asleep a while during this briefing straight after duty. After it, just had lunch and quickly went up to rest. Then...book out. Felt like going out today, but dunno where.
I like to go out on Friday nights. Tire myself out a little, and when I wake up, OH! It's still Saturday! Seems to psychologically extend my weekend. =) Tomorrow..may be going to register for my driving BTT. Wonderful Joel is going out tonight and hence may not wake up early enough tomorrow morning. So much for after Chinese New Year. If I'm not meeting the Ms so early, I will go down to register for my driving, WITH OR WITHOUT you. =.= Waited twice and you still keep dragging. Bleah.
{UPDATE]
AUGH. NO INTERNET. No wireless. Think my router is screwy. Can connect, but only via the cable linked to the modem, bypassing the router. =S I'm gonna shut down everything till tomorrow and then try. If it fails, I think I need to buy a new NON-LINKSYS router. Speaking of buying, having a blog is useful. I spent 500 this month. OMGG. AHHHH. =X I think it was cos of CNY clothes. $170 there. And cos of birthdays. Don't get me wrong though. What I mean is that it's a one time thing, so hopefully I can save more next month. Haha.

The sleeping form on the bed stirred. He turned on his back and slowly opened his eyes.
"Unhhh..."
He pushed back the warm blankets and yawned. His bed felt so good. He felt rested. The sun was up, bright and shining, and he could hear birds chirping in the trees. All around him, the room was filled with some sleeping shapes still. He fumbled behind him for his clock. He grabbed it, and took a look. 8 plus. Wonderful. Time to get up and go for breakfast at the canteen. He must be in heaven.
Darn. I miss the old days. -sob- Gotta wake up at 530 everyday now. ARGH. The horror. Such an ungodly hour. I shall miss waking up past 11 during the holidays. The thought of it makes me sian. Waking up at 530, go down and jump around a bit, go for breakfast and back to bunk. We shouldn't be made to unless we have to. And there's PT everyday too. -Yawn-
Today was alright. Lazed on the couch till 4plus, and went to visit uh..."Fourth Aunt". Then went over to another aunt's place. Some of my aunts and uncles took the wrong way as our convoy headed to YCK. Two of them went VROOM and overtook the lead car, and the last one just followed and they exited to CTE. Lol.
Just went there, helped to set up stuff, go for dinner, ate a little, played more Bball, and then went home. This CNY I think I ate very little bak kwa haha. Only some at the battalion CNY thing, and then a little today. Oh well...holiday's over soon. Boo. BUT! Next weekend's coming soon! Yay. And OH SHIT. OH SHIT. OH GAWD. OH CHR-tomorrow's Wed. So it's not Mon. So it's not a 2k run. It's a 5k run. I think. OMGGG. They said they were changing the prog from this week but if tomorrow is a 5k run...jeez. All that snacking is going to kill everyone. =S
[UPDATE]
It's always a pain to get to bed when I have to book in the next morning. Somehow, some part of me wants to cling on and not let go. Reluctant to relinquish my grasp on the internet, I hold on to whatever straws I can clutch at, checking blogs, Facebook, and MSN, trying to find a reason , any reason to stay on just a moment, just a little longer. I want to watch my anime. I want to talk to someone on MSN. I want to spam comments on Facebook. I can't let go. =(

Dum-dee-dum~ I'm back. That was random. Haha. Today was alright. Went to my dad's side in the afternoon. Took really long to get a cab. Rar. I called the company twice. Finally got one after quite a time waiting. =( Then went over, hsad a little steamboat. =S To be honest I'm getting a little sick/bored of it already. Had it like what? Thrice in less than a week.
Because of the cab thing, most of everyone were leaving after we came. So I entertained myself by picking up someone's book and started reading it. It was really good stuff. Wish I could continue reading. Left at 3, took public transport down to Yew Tee to visit my maternal grandmother. Watched TV till the rest came down. After dinner, went down to play Bball. Yes, I am not much good at it. Lol. It's not my thing. After that showered and went home. Going to another aunt's place for BBQ/Bball/Swimming tomorrow. Holiday's ending soon. Boo. Can't wait for next Sat.

Came back from CNY eve dinner. Alright ba. Lol. Not as great as those before some how. Went to one of my aunt's condo. They booked function room and bbq pit. Both which were quite far apart. Helped to set up the steamboat. Played with my cousins. The soup stock was some veggie-corn-based thing. =S Not as nice as the usual ones. I was full very fast. And there wasn't that much variety. Lettuce, Chinese vegs, crabstick, fishballs, and all those soupy ingredients. =S There was some chicken and prawns from the BBQ side. We had nachos and heated up some cheese. Nothing special.
Tomorrow is CNY proper though. Wonder which places we're visitng first. And I can wear my new clothes. =) Oh, and it seems being attached is the name of the season. Apparently one of them has just uncovered his secretcharacter girlfriend (of 2 years) lol, and I just found out another one has a girlfriend too. First one same age as me, the other 16. Jeez. There must be something wrong with me. LOL.

OMGOMGOMG I HATEEEE MY INTERNET!!! IT SUCKS. I HATE STARHUB. MUST BE STUPID STARHUB. I READ THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT IT CONDENSING ALL OUR TRAFFIC INTO ONE HUGE FUNNEL THAT PASSES THROUGH EVERYTHING AND IT SO TOTALLY SCREWS WITH ALL THE ONLINE STUFF. I CANNOT LOGIN TO ONE FORUM COS IT SAYS I HAVE TRIED TO LOGIN 3 TIMES ALREADY. I CANNOT DOWNLOAD STUFF BECAUSE IT SAYS I HAVE EXCEEDED MY DAILY LIMIT OR THAT I AM STILL DOWNLOADING STUFF NOW AND I CANT WATCH VIDEOS BECAUSE IT SAYS I HAVE FINISHED MY DAILY ALLOTMENT. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO THEN??? HUH? HUH? GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. WTH!!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO COMPALIN ABOUT THIS. SUCH SHITTY SERVICE.
Too-day...I went SHOPPING! Ok. Forgive me. In my defence I haven't bought stuff for a while, which is GOOD. And because it's CNY...so, it's an exception. I spent $172. =X Went to Hougang to meet Ym and Siwei, and we had lunch there. Went down to Queenstown. Queensway shopping centre. Surprisingly quite a bit of clothes shops. Only been there once before. Saw some quite nice t-shirts but nothing exceptional. Bought a pair of bermudas. Looks quite nice. =) $49.90. Been looking for a nice pair.
Then went down to Bugis to walk. Bought a shirt from Domanchi. $49. Bought a belt to complement the bermudas. $49. Been looking for a new belt anyway, too. Then went down to CityLink Mall, bought a pair of slippers for $23.90. My slippers quite cui le anyway. Really thin and worn. Haha. Feel a bit guilty, but at least I now have some new clothes for CNY. And damn, my typing recently is going a bit haywire. =S After that I dropped off Ym's stuff at his house, and cycling my bike home. Went online.

Been watching DVDs. Lol. The Usual Suspects was pretty good movie...though at times a bit hard to follow. If you can get the plot, it's damn interesting. Especially the twist. Enjoyed it. Rewatched Leon, which is another nice movie, though I preferred it the first time better. After that came Silent Hill, which was okay...very unlike the game since hardly any guns were available, and some disturbing scenes. Ending was a letdown too...=[

OMIGOD. I am think I am going to vomit blood. I might cry. I just reformatted my laptop, and guess what? The laptop's wireless LAN drivers are not installed. So I decide to go outside and download some using the other com. So I get this program that supposedly can download drivers.
I thought I could search and download any driver I want. But NOOOOO, you can only download drivers of your own com. Great. Since the laptop has NO internet in the first place, the program can't even start any DOWNLOAD. Useless. I try another link that provides a download, and guess what? My screwy internet tells me my download limit has been exceeded. It's always like that whenever I try to download stuff online. Either it's my connection or Starhub. So no help there. So I've got a spanking brand new computer without any internet connection whatsoever. =.=
[UPDATE]
Ok...after several hours I've gotten everything up and running. Well, most of it. I found the drivers CD and installed it and once I got internet, we were all good to go. Installed all the basic stuff. Everything is less cluttered. Now, all I need is my music...

Had a pretty crappy day on 21st. First of all, we carried 70, yes SEVENTY mattresses up 4 storey. Of course, we had to move SEVENTY mattresses down 4 floors, but that was the easy part. Not to mention that the mattresses were really old and dusty and...filthy. They were probably a biological hazard, in which case we should have worn our gas masks. Lol. About 25 of us to 70 mattresses. And there's another 70 to come after the holidays...
So after moving 70 old mattresses down, the truck came. We then unloaded 70 NEW mattresses off the truck into a HUGE bed of mattresses 4 by 3 and 6 deep. Then one by one we loaded up the 70 old mattresses into the truck, and one by one we bought up the 70 new mattresses. While shifting one to one of the rooms where they could stack it up on the upper deck, my platton mate asked me to do stand in. Well what can I say?
Everyone's sweaty, and it's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it. We're all in the same condition. So I did. But it ruined my mood. I went up to wipe off my sweat. I looked like I'd been living in the sewers for days. They also msged me to hurry me up. The tissue paper came away black. Then I had to put on a new set of uniform and go down to stand in for them.
Whilst other people finished up with the mattresses and took a well-deserved cool shower from the midday heat, I was downstairs in the office waiting for them to come back and wallowing in my hunger. Then when one of them returned, the rest had already gone to the mess for lunch. I had to go to the cookhouse. By the time I got back I had 15 mins before the next event, a NE talk. When I told people I hadn't bathed, they recoiled in shock as though I were carrying leprosy. Ha-ha.
Of course I was really cranky throughout the entire period and I felt freaking pissed off. Because I wanted a bath really badly, and of all people it had to be me. Then again I also knew someone had to do it. I was ok already by the end of the day. Went vivo in the evening for a CNY dinner. There was a lucky draw, and I got a pleasant surprise. My family has never been lucky at this sort of stuff, seeing as how some people strike 4D a few times a year. We never get anything on games based on luck.
So I was slowly sipping my dessert thinking that there's nothing to worry about since we never get anything, and imagine my surprise when my number was called. I was really quite surprised. I never expected anything at all, whereas people all around were hoping for their number to be called. So I went up and collected my prize, a $10 Fairprice voucher. What's more, it was the last number to be called.
Today was kinda crappy too though. We returned last night, woke up for 5BX and breakfast, and some games. In the morning, apparently someone forgot to inform my platoon we were supposed to do stores. So we were informed now. At 715. So we had to wake up early to go down and settle everything. Then we were supposed to leave at 11. As we were all in our civvies and gathered ready to be dismissed, an imperial arrow* shot down from the skies above. Area cleaning. WOW.
We finished our games at 9 plus, but NOOOOOOO, we have to be told book out is at 11, so we all rest in our bunks upstairs. And then when we are all ready to go, we are asked to do area cleaning at the last possible minute. Nice. Outstanding. We all in our civvies and walking around the company with brooms and clearing all the dead leaves from the drains. If this is a joke, its not funny. I don't like having my chain yanked. Tell us book out at 11 den shoot us to do area cleaning just before we can leave. Seriously, commanders, treated this way? Sighs. I don't know what to say.

Today was spent cleaning up the entire bunk. Rar. RSM Stand by bed tomorrow. The bunk is amazingly clean. Indeed, give 8 people a few hours, and a room can look fantastic. You couldn't eat food off the floor, but you could probably eat combat rations off it. Ha-ha! =P The room looks pretty good now. I almost don't wanna sleep on my bed for fear of messing up the sheets. Lol!
We got new mattresses today too. Was quite a bit of work carrying the old ones down and the new ones up. I carried 3 mattresses across 4 storeys. 1 down 2 up. Feels good though. Guaranteed new stuff. Think its the first time in months I've slept on a bed that I'm absolutely positively certain was new. All my previous one have been rather creaky, stained, dubious affairs. =X
Anyways, got some new ideas on where to stuff my unneeded stuff already. =P I like my stuff simple and neat. Nth much else ba...can't wait for tomorrow to end...after the stand by bed, going of to Vivo for a mess CNY function. Then company CNY thing on Thurs...Friday off. =)

Bored. Spent whole day playing Monster Hunter. Lol. Gonna book in at 1030 from now on. Because of something someone said. RAR. F**k. But it can't be helped. It's not really his fault. But still...zzz
Good news: I can no longer read or delete my email. Due so some odd screwup, I can't select all of my emails nor open then. Only see the title. Great. Fantastic. More internet retardedness. Looks like even the camp's computer beats my laptop hands down. Frick. I need to try and reformat this piece of crap before it totally stops working on me.

hello! I'm at wheelock place now! Haha. Since everyone is using their mobile entertainment devices now. Nothing much today. Managed to reach on time. Had quite some fun playing with ben's itouch. Lol.
Xw was late so we walked from orchard to cine and back down again to meet her. Tak got new moon of twilight from borders. Went to nydc for lunch.
[UPDATE]
Went to Vivo later. Got a bit lost because unlike modern GPS, ben and I don't have a detailed map of Singapore in our minds plus an accurate idea of exactly where we were within 1m, so that when we took a wrong turn we were unable to recalculate a new route based on our new location within a few minutes. So he was just clicking through his ipod and me flipping through the street directory to find a way to vivo.
In the end we made a huge loop simply to go by the original route given by his ipod, which WOULD have been correct had we not attempted to go to Tuas. Lol! =X And also because we were unable to recalculate a new route based on our location. In our defense, we don't drive! I have no idea where exactly all the highways meet. At most I'm only familiar with the TPE and a bit of the SLE and CTE.
At vivo, we couldn't decide what to watch, and tak felt very pressured. Lol. In the end we discussed all the way till 7 and went to eat Marche. Maybe watching Ip Man with Val next Thurs. Lol. And then queued for quite a bit while the girls camwhored with the garish lime-green fiberglass cows outside Marche. After dinner, we parted ways with Ben and XW, to go Powerhouse.
I was very full but I was obliged to go buy a drink to protect our table till a later time, so I got a Vodka orange/Screwdriver. WHY NO VODKA REDBULL? =.= Got a Vodka sprite later. Too lazy to choose anything else le. Got a $10 Orange Juice for tak. Wow. Lol. I treat her half glass. =P After we sent val home in a cab, we traipsed to Vivo in a bid to look for a 7-11 selling drinks, but the one opposite GV was closed. =( Went up to GV to see if there was any movies, but it appeared not. =( Darn. Would have been fun la, to go watch a midnight movie there too...eventually just went home.

Hello! I'm back! Haven't gone online this week. Thing are starting to get a little busy around here, so have a bit more stuff to do now. However, the shortage of PCs means that we do have to wait so we have some personal time once a while. There's PT everyday now, so quite tiring.
This Tues went out w/ Tak and Val to watch The Duchess at PS. It's not bad. My friend said it was boring, but I found it like The Little Nonya in English though I only watched a couple episodes of the latter. Quite an interesting movie. Thurs, went to PS with XW, had dinner and shopped around a bit.
Cleared up the thing with my speakers. So we haven't paid, and we can re-buy it, but we didn't cos I had to book in. =.= Lol. She wanted a cover for her X-Fi but it was out of stock and they asked her to reserve one JUST like the last time, and we didn't. Plus what happened was most likely that we left our number but they never called. =.=
Got a cover for my PSP. (Yay!) It's one of those hardcover things now. Not plastic, but cushioned. Maybe now I won't lose my cover so easily cos it's bigger and heavier. =.= Going out tomorrow. =D I just had a thought...what if somekaypoh pioneer in the future starts digging around and finds my blog? =S That would be kind of an akward situation. Think might not be that likely, but still...some bugger stumbled across my blog while searching for another friend's. Darn. Uh...nothing much else I'd say. Most of our assigned work has been done already. =\

Didn't do much yest. Just stayed at home till it came to evening. Went to meet ben at cp to go for Val's bro concert. Tak couldn't make it. =[ I was a little late but we still arrived a little earlier than her parents. Val arrived a bit late into the show. Was alright I guess. But I had to leave halfway after the intermission because YM's mom booked the 910 tickets instead of 950. =[ Met them just in time. Shawn was REALLY late. There was a fight at home. Looks like a lot of people were late today. Lol.
Red Cliff 2 was pretty nice. All the tactics and strategy was quite interesting to watch. After that, we cabbed back to Ym's place. BOTH cabs were $16.50. All because we had 5 people. =[ We hardly can get everyone out at the same time, so that when we get all 5 we're not used to the number. (Like when cabbing) Lol! The magic number is 3, or 4 if you're lucky. I think similar for Mugalo too. =P
After that we got into his dad's MPV, and headed down to Geylang. Uhuh...5 guys in one big car heading down to Geylang. Lol. Went to this you tiao store. The food there was really nice, but a bit out of the way. Lol. Lorong 27 Geylang if I still remember. We had the Taiwan meatballs, Taiwan noodles, youtiao, iced soya bean, and toasted bun with egg and floss. Good and cheap too. The bill for 5 of us came to about $14.80.
After that, YM sent us home in the car. He kept playing stunts with the car. =.= Jerking us around the road. Lol.

Gosh I am TIRED. Well actually my feet are. If they had eyes they'd be crying now at what I've put them through. =X On Thurs, we had circuit training in the morning. It was feet-intensive. Jump jump jump...walking in a convoluted position walking in a convoluted position walking in a convoluted position ...pull ups... JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP...various exercises...RUNNNN FASSSSTTTT!!!!!!...repeat 3 times.
After that our feet were pretty sore, must be because we haven't done this kind of intensity of exercise for a pretty long time. The next day when I woke up my legs were cursing at me, still recovering from the day before. While still recoviering, I sent them on a little 5km run around camp. T_T So cui. Quite a lot of us CMI. Lol. I fell back with JJ to run with our CQ who needed a lot ofnagging encouragement. But that's how his character is.
I was very very very very hungry after the circuit training yest. =S On an unrelated note, I got a new radio in my room. Well, not really new, just that it's been in my parents' room and they hardly use it, so after getting my dad's permission I shifted the whole thing over. =)

The pictures don't show it, but the lights change colour. =P Cool right?

Back home today. Nothing much ba. We had a fire drill, basically just all the usual stuff. Oh and I learnt CPR for the 3rd time in my NS life. Jeez...how many CPR certs do I need to collect anyway? Is there some secret game of "Gotta catch em' all!" that no one has informed me of yet? Once in SISPEC, once more during the refresher course, and once more now. Lol. I think I've had enough for now thanks.
Nothing much else I guess. Lost my beret. Some idiot must've taken it. I left it in the office went I went down for the fire drill, when I went up to my bunk I found it missing. Wasn't in the office. Found another unclaimed size 7 one. Might belong to the idiot. Oh and my FB is gone. Can't load the page. I canNOT live without FB. It's probably my primary source of entertainment.
Before this, I had a glitch that caused my FB to be unable to connect to FB chat. Then my notifications won't update. I can't comment on stuff (Buttons become unresponsive), and pages are slow loading and sometimes won't load at all. And NOW, my main page won't load. WTH. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, WILYA? How long does it take to fix a glitch? The chat glitch has been there for MONTHS, the FAQS just say you're working on it, and my FB is going to hell.

First day back after leave. Rawr. Oh well, was ok I guess.Though I didn't get much sleep last night. Slept at 1, and tossed and turned till 2+. Probably only slept at 3 and woke at 530. Zzz. Then on the way in the morn I didn't feel well, which was kinda convenient since I was really tired. I haven't really properly fallen sick since I enter NS. The only time I reported sick was for the stupid foot rot, that's all. None of the common flu/cough/fever stuff because i just didn't fall ill.
Crashed in bed till close to 12, caught up on my lost sleep. Maybe because I was pretty tired. But I also took a while to get to sleep when I first lay down. =\ Woke up, went for lunch, read the papers, went down for 2.5 hours solid discussion. Dinner, did some saikang, back to bunk, no mess. Sigh. Looks like life is about to revert to before again.
At least I can say I made use of my holidays, and kept on going out with my friends. But still...I'll definitely miss the fun. I got nights out tomorrow. Anyone up for dinner? Friday's coming. =D

Sitting at home, K was about to navigate to another Facebook page when his sister entered his room.
"Kenneth, can you help me?" She presented him with a notebook full of workings, a pen and foolscap paper. "This one." She pointed at one of the questions.
He took the notebook and scrutinised the question. It appeared to be a pair of simultaneous equations. Probably not too hard, but tedious and requiring a little effort. He looked at her working and felt overwhelmed by all the tiny numbers, and the 'x'es and 'y's and the squaring and multiplication.
Looking at her, he asked: "Have you checked your working or not?
"Yes! I did it a lot of times already. Still can't get."
He looked down at the notebook and back at her. "You sure?"
"Yes."
Resigned, he picked up the pen and warned her.
"Do you know how long I haven't done maths or not???"
Didn't do much today. Just went out for lunch with the other guys as part of the platoon cohesion. Just 意思意思 go...after that we all just left. =[ Anyway can't find anyone to go out with anyway. Bleah. But lunch was not too bad. Looks like I've been having really tasty food lately. The ramen was quite nice and flavourful, and the seasoned egg was amazing. It was unlike anything any of us had tasted before. Unlike ANY egg. Very soft and yummy. Unfortunately, the menu only has 3 items and the food is a little overpriced, but it is good at least.

After they had all filed into the function room and presented a short introduction of themselves to each other, the OC separated them into 4 groups, their respective platoons and the company HQ. He asked everyone to take a sheet of A4 paper, and their writing materials. After which, he began the first team building game.
"Now, you are on a deserted island, along with the rest of your group. Each of you can only take one thing with you when you leave the ship. Now imagine that the ship you are escaping from has absolutely ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in the world. What is the ONE and ONLY thing will you take?"
"Alcohol!" A small voice piped up from the back of the room.

Went for company retreat today. Basically just talked shop. Business. Alright I guess. The chalet had a really nice view but the place was just really ulu and out of the way. We had snacks and some drinks. Lunch was at Thai Pan restaurant at the Civil Service Club and the food was excellent. For 3 people, the bill came up to 13 for 1 large plate of butter squid, 1 small plate of honey chicken and 1 small plate of veg. Not too bad. Dinner was a catered buffet. Nothing exceptional today I guess. Was kinda tired on the way home. Just hours of sitting down and discussion.

Tomorrow, is a platoon-level cohesion. Nothing much. We're going to Clarke Quay for lunch at 1. Don't know if anyone wants to go out or anything. Will be free after lunch. After all ,it's gonna be the last day of my leave.

Dogs on the beach. Fetch!

My com's getting from bad to worse. Now I can't even see my own tagboard. Gotta use another browser.
Ah well...2009. Time flies, doesn't it? Cliched but true. That's why they are cliches. Lol. Jan 4th 2009 already. My leave is coming to an end. What does 2009 mean? 2009 means thatI we'll be, inevitably 20. 20. That sounds old, doesn't it? We'll have left our official teens far behind, never to be reclaimed. It's a little bit hard to think of myself as a 20 year old. Gee.
Gone are the happy youthful days with minimal to no responsibilities. Bordering on full-blown adulthood, some big things are on the horizon. It makes you wonder. What will it take to fill these shoes? Things are moving so fast. It makes you want to 'grow up' even more, and to start acting 20, whatever 20 year olds should act like. The big 2-0. Gone are the days when u still had a 1 in front of your age. That 1 was like a passport that provided a certain immunity for your thoughts and actions. Unfortunately that passport has expired.
Being 20 makes you feel that something has been thrust on your shoulders, though you can't quite figure it out. Perhaps it's expectations. Expectations of you, your thoughts, your actions, and expectation of results. But it is inevitable. The slow process of growing and aging and dying will carry on whether you like it or not. Much as we don't want to grow up, we have to, and we will, no matter what. So why not embrace it?
20 may make you sound old. But we all have to go through it. Everyone will, it's just a matter of time. (Pun intended) Think of it as a coming of age. The heralding of a new year, new experiences, new things. We still have a way to go. And what happens at 30? 40? 50? That's worse isn't it? So why not enjoy it while it lasts, and make the most of it, and of life while we still can.
In the grand scheme of things, we're still young. We still have a long road ahead of us, but time flies and everyone knows that. At 30, you'll be looking back, reminiscing on your youth. So why not work on that youth now? So that you'll have something truly exceptional to remember it by. Live to the fullest, embrace everything, and enjoy yourself while you're at it. Live life hard. Appreciate everything around you.
If life were a game, we'd be at level 20. That's alright. It's when you're leaving the newbie stage and starting to find your feet, to get a grasp of things, to finally see the bigger picture. You've just set your foot in the door that leads to bigger things. If life is a game and you've only got one life, live it out to the fullest. Go out, have fun, enjoy yourself, lead a healthy life. Work hard for yourself and your future, but play hard too. It's a whole world out there, and you only go through it once.

Went to Wild Wild Wet today. My alarm for some reason did not ring. =.= Awoke only at 11 when tak msged us to say she'll be late. Rushed out, reached at 12 plus. Met Ben and XW, then Tak and Weijin. Went in, played. Went on the Group float quite a few times. We got a nice picture but we didn't go buy it. =[ Lol. Went for the slides, and the tsunami pool. Got quite a few scrapes from the pounding of the waves. I tried to crawl into the waves (=.=) and got thrown around. Tak's hives came back =[ but luckily faded a few hours later.
After, Weijin left for something and the 4 of us went down to NYNY for early dinner. The beef tenders was yummy. =) One of the staff gave tak's membership card away to the wrong person. =.= So she got a new one. More vouchers and free extension of membership. Lol. Went to arcade, then to Rainnie's workplace to get ice cream. Ben and XW fought a lot there. Caused a huge commotion. Lol! Then went to eHub to buy tix, took pix of the ferris wheel. Watched Australia. It was a pretty good movie. The plot was good stuff. Long though. Had to pee like 2/3rds of the way through. =X
Its just a really really really long story, with an action story in the beginning, but a pretty good one at that. After it ended it was 1130 already. Wanted to crash at Val's place but ben didn't want to, so I left with him and tak crashed at val's place for the night. At I expected, the LRT station was closed when I reached my home. Walked the rest of the way home. Tak is right. Sometimes walking from place to place is kinda nice.

2008. I meant to blog about 2008, but because of my stupid duty on 1st Jan, I didn't have time. 2008 has been eventful. It wasn't kind to me in the beginning, but it turned out alright in the end.
In 2008, I:
Worked at a call centre (Since Dec), enjoyed myself a lot.
Enlisted. Pfft. =.=
Experienced a lot of physical and mental stress and sent to rock bottom depths.
Was hurt badly by someone close to me, either intentional or not.
Was was kinda of a lesson.
I learnt to crawl back up by myself, at no small cost.
But was made ever aware of the dangers of having people close to you.
Things started to get better, and so did life.
Which bought me much joy.
My outlook on life did undergo a shift.
Things in the army started to get a lot better.
And I am very happy with where I went in the end.
At the end of the year, thanks to my leave, I went out often with my friends, which made my days even better.
So much stuff, but at least it ended on a nice note. =) I'm really grateful for all my friends out there. I know that it's dangerous to have people close to your heart, and that I can strive to keep them away. But I find that I can't live without them. So that's a risk I'll have to take then.
I'll post my thoughts on 2009 tomorrow.
Oh i have something to bitch about too. I LOST MY PSP POUCH. AHHHHH FKFKFKFKFKFKF, Zzz. ARGH. DAMMIT. DFNBXFTNETNJ. =[ I was rushing to meet the girls on NYE and when I reached Dhoby suddenly while playing my PSP, I grabbed everything (or so I thought) and rushed out, and I dropped the pouch on the train. It came bundled with my PSP. ARGH. FUCK. DAMMIT. Pissed off at myself. ARGHHHH. SARBRNTRDNRS. DAMMIT. Need to buy another one. DFNTEYNWNWNWQBGHTY(LJNERBTH. =[

Picking up the bottle of chilli sauce, Weijin asked: "So when you passing out?"
"Passing out? I passed out le. Now just waiting for my men to arrive," K replied.
"Passed out le? You mean you 3rd sergeant le?" Weijin asked with some surprise. He unscrewed the cap of the bottle, and started smacking the bottom. "So, when you pass out one?"
"Ah...lemmee think...It was...september...no, wait. Nov! Yeah. 14 Nov." K tried to recall his graduation date, and remembered the words on the certificate.
Smacking the bottle a few more times, Weijin was surprised once more. "November? That's only 5 months! Only 5 months? That's fast. I thought..." He looked up to the ceiling, trying to recall something.
K stared at Weijin's hand, which seemed to have been suddenly disconnected from his body. It was still holding the chilli bottle over the plate, and the newly mobile sauce was luxuriously enjoying its newfound freedom by slowly oozing out of the bottle and pooling in a huge puddle on his plate.
He stared at the hypnotic journey of the sauce for a moment, admiring its triumphant escape, before he snapped out of it. "Uh...don't you think, your sauce? You should..." He pointed at the bottle which the chilli was still gleefully flowing out of.
"Huh? Oh. OH." Weijin quickly tipped the bottle upright, sending the remaining chilli back to its prison and putting the cap back on. He stared at the newly large body of liquid on his plate. "Uh..."

This is all about the last day of 2008, and the first few hours of 2009. The begENDing of two years. It was quite fun. Met tak at Suntec, we walked to the Fountain of Wealth, but it was closed so she couldn't make her wishes. =\ Walked around it twice.

Then went to Kenny Rogers. She wouldn't take a nice pic with me cos I didn't say cheese. =[ Consider pic #1:

And pic #2:

XW and Weijin joined us later in their one-for-one package deal. Lol! Our table at KR was at the back of the restaurant in a nice plce, designed like a room. Pretty cool. It was semi-private since only the 4 of us were there. The deco was pretty interesting. I passed Xw her present too. She liked it! =D Haha. Then the amusing incident recounted above happened.

We had a nice meal, eating and talking and laughing. We did a lot of funny things after our meal. Xiwen blew bubbles into cheese, and we tried to get weijin to snort pepper. Tak added a lot of stuff on the together into a bowl, of which 90% was salt. It became a yellow paste speckled with black pepper, called Salt Cake. She then added a topping of tomato sauce.
Went to look at pets and to feed koi. Went to sit on a couple of kiddy rides. The supercar wouldn't start for us so we went to ride the real one. LOL. We were XW's most active passengers to-date. Tak and I kept taking pics. A LOT of funny stuff happened.

The car was stopped at a red light. K looked to the left and saw a nice colonial-styled building. He found a nice angle and snapped a picture. It even came our slightly blurred, as a result of the window glass. Just at that moment, the light changed, and the car moved forward. K congratulated himself at having been fast enough to capture this pic.
"Hey, look at this. Nice right?" He showed the image to tak in the front seat.
"Mm, nice!" Tak commented.
"It would be interesting if Xiwen actually turned her head to look at the picture now," He thought. Just as he thought it, Xiwen actually turned her head a little to look at the image.
"NONONONO!" K and taky said out loud, prompting her to look at the road.
"Uh..later. Later I show you. Please watch the road." K said.
They all burst out laughing.

This was the picture. Lol!
---
Driving through the streets of Singapore, Xiwen was ferrying her two over-active and camera-crazy passengers to pick up their friend Val at Pasir Ris. Halfway through the journey, she said something a little shocking.
"Guys, the bus in front the number, is it 27 or 21?
"WHATTTT?!?!" Chorused the two of them.
---

We concluded for her to drive she had to avoid the colourful blobs and stay between the dotted lines. =P And val joined us at Pasir Ris! Stopped at eHub for dinner at NYNY. We were a very weird table. We asked if the "brats" aka bratwursts/sausages were boys or kids. brats=kids=sausages??? And I attempted a sad career of making paper flowers because Val saw someone had flowers and asked why I didn't give them any. My flower-making career was akin to the Lehman Brothers stock. Phail. =[ Tak tied a cherry stem into a knot with her tongue. I want to learn too. Lol!

Xiwen gave us a lift to Val's place, after, and we spent our time lying on her bed, chatting and using the net. I left at 5am the next day, and slept at 1 hr at home. Woke up to book into camp and take over duty. =.= New Year's Day. Did nothing there but catch up on lost sleep. Not bad actually. I get to catch up on my sleep and get one day off.

I also brought LEGAL VCDs and DVDs to watch. Bettlejuice and The Matrix later, it was 4pm. Matrix Reloaded later, staff parade and ZzZ. Handed over in the morning, went for bfast w/ the folks at Jalan Kayu. Went home, SLEPT till 1plus. Fantastic. Lol. Sorry abut the REAL LONG delay in pics, tak. My laptop seems like it's about to give up the ghost any time soon and everything is really slow. =[ It was horrible uploading and I tried to clear up space for stuff, and backing up my files. Ben's helping me reformat tomorrow. Trying to upload now.
Just a little of what I do on Facebook. =D
(I'm the defending ship.)

Lol!
